I don't think @jd-vance-1.bsky.social was on the group text for this one.

It’s a good thing Congress isn’t alive to see this

The nice thing about all this is that we won't have to worry about increased terrorist attacks against the US. After all, we've got Thomas Fugate, a 22-year-old intern with rigor mortis of the eyebrow, handling counterterrorism for the DHS.

Trump: "Lastly, I want to thank God." God: "Listen, could you just leave me out of this?"

Absolutely wild that even the top House Democrat isn't calling this war.

I know we all know this, but the idea that this bombing action is "ending a forever war" is so goddamn stupid. It's so fundamentally, obviously wrong. Anyone who says that is an absolute clown.

Snark aside, this is really a disaster. A disaster on top of a pile of disasters. Nearly everyone who will be killed or harmed in all this is not remotely to blame for the crimes of their government, on any side. Authoritarians do nothing but cause violence, pain, destruction, and death.

Steve Ganyard on ABC News: "We haven't had three aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf since 2003." Did anything important happen in 2003? Maybe something that was supposed to be just a real quick thing, not a big deal, maybe something that became a 20+ year disaster?

“This is not constitutional!” I cry as the temu-bought katana enters my belly

Once more with feeling

Guy on ABC News: "Okay but maybe bombing Iran is actually the END of a forever war, and things will be chill from here on out."

US foreign policy in my adult life is 24 years of unbroken barbarity punctuated by moments of intense stupidity.

This is an excellent way to prove that you very much need oversight (and to be removed from any position of power).

It's really important to remember, as we're all enjoying the Carlson/Cruz argument, that Tucker Carlson is still a fascist ghoul. He's not against this war because of any concern for the people of Iran - or Americans, for that matter. He's against it because a war between Iran and Israel/US

. @10tv.com.web.brid.gy your coverage of the LA protests was fundamentally inaccurate. You described the ICE kidnappings as arrests; they're not. When there's no due process, it's just thugs kidnapping people. You said "unlike the protests on the west coast, that protest on Columbus was peaceful."

Alt text: a bunch of people who wanted to go to college and/or get extra money every month to make ends meet, deployed against their own community and forced to sleep on the floor They're sending the Marines because the National Guard wants no part of this

I can't believe any Democrat would THINK of allying with Elon Musk. I won't take money from the guy who does a Hitler salute. It's really that simple.

"Reverse discrimination" is, at best, a stupid term. It's just discrimination, folks. If you're being discriminated against, it's just discrimination. At worst, it implies that discrimination is *supposed* to be targeted at certain people, specifically brown people, LGBT+ folks, and women.

Hawley's whole "Judges love Democrats and hate Republicans" thesis seems really undermined by Bush having the shortest bar up there.

The DC shooter's neighbor was perfectly on message. Solidarity, sir.

Hey, Chris Cuomo, real cool fascist rhetoric you've got there. nypost.com/2025/05/23/m...

The pitch is never that AI will fold the laundry for us, it's always that AI will remove the good stuff from our lives. Picking a birthday present for my kid isn't a box I check, it's something I want to do, and six months later when that's the stuffy she sleeps with I get to feel good about that.

Just more evidence that 1. When you stand up to the fascists, they back down, because they're cowards at their core, and 2. Librarians are fuckin' rad. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/12/u...

When is HGTV going to make a show that's actually useful? How about instead of "This couple with more money than you'll ever have demo a house you could never afford," they make "Let's decorate this two bedroom apartment for under $500." That could actually help people.
