Name 3 books you've read at least twice 📚💙 #BookSky The Forever War - Joe Haldeman The Diamond Age - Neal Stephenson Brave New World - Aldous Huxley

“Brian Wilson, he made all his records with four tracks, but you couldn't make his records if you had a hundred tracks today.” - Bob Dylan Rest in peace Brian Wilson.

Are you okay, bro? You’re reluctantly crouched at the starting line

#onmyturntable Orbital - Orbital 2 (2025 reissue). One of my all-time favorites. Showed up yesterday evening, finally have a chance to play it. The opaque brown/black "galaxy" swirl is a Rough Trade exclusive, and looks *so* cool. #vinylsky

Some fun glam to start the week: youtu.be/qBdFA6sI6-8

Sounds reasonable. #nowspinning #vinylsky #vinylcommunity #recordstore

#onmyturntable Edgar Froese - Aqua (1974). Froese's debut album, nicely ambient so far. Side 2 was recorded with mics inside the ear canals of an artificial dummy head, thought to produce a surround effect. #vinylsky

Today is a good day to get the Led out. A drum performance for the ages. youtu.be/uwiTs60VoTM?...

#onmyturntable Tangerine Dream - Rubycon (1975). Two side-length tracks, similar to some other early TD. Some tasty ebb and flow, with some nice flashes of intensity. This one actually charted in the UK, tenth on the albums chart for several weeks. #vinylsky

#onmyturntable The Cure - Standing On A Beach - The Singles (1986). Tons of classics, "Boys Don't Cry", "Charlotte Sometimes", "The Lovecats", "In Between Days", "Close To Me". I recall in '86 this was difficult to find for some reason, but was the "right" Cure record to have. #vinylsky

#onmyturntable Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Welcome Back My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Ladies And Gentlemen (1974). Six sides of live jam-band craziness. I'm a little sad that I was way too young to ever see these guys on stage; their shows must have been wild. #vinylsky

#onmyturntable Tangerine Dream - Cyclone (1984 reissue). Vocals?! It sounds like a weird cross between Pink Floyd and TD. Some nice flute work by Jolliffe. #vinylsky

#onmyturntable Sade - Diamond Life (1984). Such a great debut record for one of the great vocalists of our time. Starts off with a bang with the big hit "Smooth Operator". #vinylsky

#onmyturntable Renaissance - A Song For All Seasons (1981 reissue). Originally released in 1978, it was the final release of their progressive folk era; it has all the elements I love about the band. The follow-up was apparently synth-based, and alienated a lot of fans. #vinylsky

A major anti-war demonstration going on in London right now.
