Every time a career lawyer is pushed out, you can assume they were told to do something illegal.

The social media conversation: --- 1: I recently read that [x]! 2: YES! I also read that somewhere. I don't know why more people aren't talking about [x]. --- where [x] is a screenshot of a post quoting an uncited article that has been viral ON THE SAME PLATFORM for the last 3 months.

This is tragic. Anyone who was familiar with 18F knows those were some of the real heroes of government, who helped make government tech/digital services better for the public. They were doing real work that DOGE pretends to do, but is too ignorant to know how to do.

Is it still hardcore if you're raging against the PTA?

I keep seeing this one take posted, "Why is everyone focused on the shady and vulnerable methods and not the massive fraud uncovered by the lying liars known for lying who operate without any oversight or outside confirmation?" and it just seems to answer itself? Why have that take at all even?

ps hi irl ppl thx for following from fb (This is not my current hair, but I felt obligated to keep the pic.)

Hey #infosec community. I'm on a real name account, so I don't have many followers, but if you knew @er1p.bsky.social and are in the Bay Area or are attending USENIX from afar, please hmu.

Popped back into this account, and I have 2 thoughts. First, I remember being in a soul-crushing toxic situation and my friends saying tech-lol-shrug instead of helping, supporting, or changing the system. That's not what I mean. What I mean is: Homer/Bart "the worst SO FAR".

Scrolling through "worst interview experience I ever had" Glassdoor reviews, and, not justifying the industry or anything, but, some of these folks are clearly new to tech.

Literally only set this profile up to claim my name and post this amazing selfie somewhere. Insta seemed too vain, but a people pic on a reserve account seemed like the right amount of exposure. If you follow me, look for familiar characters in your notifications.
