"According to IBM, the average cost of a data breach in 2024 was $4.88 million." Um, yikes. The kind of prevention my team does is certainly a lot cheaper. People really don't like to think about risks. www.zend.com/blog/php-exp...

Energy saving tip when using Google: To avoid AI, just add "-fucking" or "-shit" or similar at the end of your query. Google sees the cuss word and turns off AI. The minus says "don't include results with this word". Obviously if you want the result with that word, just leave off the minus.

In response to outright hostile crawling by AI companies, some websites go as far as serving them fake content to poison their models. An understandable response. AI models trained on public data will become increasingly useless though, and it's their own fault. arstechnica.com/ai/2025/03/d...

The AI bots that desperately need OSS for code training, are now slowly killing OSS by overloading every site. The curl website is now at 77TB/month, or 8GB every five minutes. https://arstechnica.com/ai/2025/03/devs-say-ai-crawlers-dominate-traffic-forcing-blocks-on-entire-countries/

Interesting: 67% were confident in their security, yet 39% still had apps on PHP 7.4. Many had even older PHP. Even more surprising: some migrated *to* PHP 5.6 or older, so the journey is still long. I really wish our team could get its hands on all this code and get it to PHP 8.4! ter.li/x1fm5u
