Congrats to @weareagma.bsky.social workers at the Met on reaching a tentative agreement! This is the power of solidarity and workers fighting for their fair share in action ✊

The California Labor Movement stands in strong solidarity with our brother David Huerta. We demand his immediate release! @seiuca.bsky.social

Born and raised in Los Angeles County, David Huerta is a champion for justice and a good neighbor. Today, while advocating for his community during an ICE raid, he was injured and arrested. These raids are dangerous for our families and communities. They are unjust and must end.

What do we do when veterans’ jobs and health care are under attack? Stand up, fight back!

“Veterans are tired of being celebrated on Veterans Day, remembered on Memorial Day, and forgotten about after Election Day. What do you say about that? Are you tired?" - AFGE President Everett Kelley #Unite4Veterans

Whether it’s cuts to the VA or attacks on their health care, veterans’ essential services are being gutted by unaccountable billionaires. We won't let them attack our nation’s heroes without a fight.

America has a duty to support our veterans. But right now, they’re under attack. Join America’s unions, veterans, military families and allies TODAY at 2 p.m. as we rally to fight for veterans’ jobs, benefits and dignity. www.unite4veterans.org

They keep insisting they’re not cutting Medicaid and then turn around and say the quiet part out loud. Millions will lose care under this budget deal. Don’t be fooled. This is a plan to strip working people of their health care, pure and simple.

We condemn the Department of Energy’s decision to cut $3.7 billion in funding for new energy projects and take away tens of thousands of good union jobs. For the good of America’s working families, the Trump admin must bring back these energy projects. aflcio.org/press/releas...

Senators and members of Congress caught telling the truth about their budget bill that would gut health care coverage through Medicaid for millions of working people. A thread 🧵

Stoking fear about immigrants, raiding schools and hospitals, and mass deporting people whose labor makes our country prosper is not only a betrayal of our values—it’s also a recipe for economic disaster. The real threat workers face? Corporate greed.

Workers at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health help keep working people safe on the job. But DOGE has fired thousands of NIOSH workers, putting working people across the country in jeopardy. Reinstate them all NOW!

Meet today's Pride Month @aflcio.org spotlight, Carl Mulert. Carl is the national business agent at United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829 and has worked in the entertainment industry for over 40 years. Read more about Carl here: lnkd.in/ez5dun3X

For two decades, @ncstateaflcio.bsky.social President @marybemcmillan.bsky.social has fiercely fought for working people in North Carolina and all across the south. America’s unions congratulate her on her upcoming retirement! Thank you for your tireless work on behalf of the labor movement.

“If it weren't for Job Corps, I would never have gotten my high school diploma. I wouldn't have had the ability to get a good job.” Job Corps changes students’ lives. We’re relieved that a judge blocked the Trump admin’s efforts to dismantle it.

Congrats to the Starbucks workers in Albuquerque, Moon Township and Richmond on voting to form a union with @sbworkersunited.org, who are now over 600 union stores strong! Change is brewing for Starbucks workers nationwide ✊ #BetterInAUnion

Workplace safety should NEVER be optional. As Summer quickly approaches, instances of workplace heat illness will only increase, and we need a fully staffed NIOSH to make sure workers can stay safe on the job. Reinstate all NIOSH workers now!

Very glad to see the courts block the Trump administration's efforts to dismantle Job Corps and throw thousands of students out on the streets.

The budget that the Senate is considering right now would cut off MILLIONS of people from their health care. Working people should not have their essential services cut to pay for more tax breaks for billionaires and giant corporations. This budget is an attack on working people.

Job Corps prepares students for the workforce by teaching them the skills they need, putting them on the path to good jobs. These students are the future of this country. Shutting down the program put that future in jeopardy.

No matter where we live or work, billionaires and those in power often try to silence workers organizing for dignity and justice. The @solidaritycenter.bsky.social stands with those workers - and that’s why they’re a vital part of our global labor movement.

Saying “the best health care is a job” is dismissive, cold-hearted, and incredibly out-of-touch with working people’s reality. The House's budget would gut Medicaid and leave MILLIONS of workers without health care. No cuts that harm working families! act.aflcio.org/call_campaig...

Workers at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette have been on strike for years and have faced relentless union-busting from their bosses. As they fight illegal cuts to their health care, show your support with a donation to their strike fund. cwa.org/ppg-donate

It’s simple: You can’t brag about being a champion for thousands of homeless, low-income students who join Job Corps to train for a good job with a roof over their heads – and then shut down the program and send these kids back out on the street.

Our country has a duty to support our veterans. But right now, they're under attack. We will always fight for our nation's heroes. Join the labor movement, veterans and military families on June 6th as we fight for veterans’ jobs, benefits and dignity.

Firing the federal workers who help people recover from disasters, while the FEMA chief admits that he wasn’t even aware that there was a hurricane season – it’s baffling. They are putting working people all across the country at risk.

It’s incredibly disappointing to see @dol.gov cross the @pghguild.com digital picket line. The Department of Labor should stand with working people and support collective bargaining — not union-busting bosses who are flirting with contempt of federal labor law.

BREAKING: In a significant victory for Delaware’s arts and entertainment community, 18 production workers at Wilmington's historic Grand Opera House have voted to unionize with IATSE Local 8!

Working people over billionaires and greedy CEOs. Period.

America's unions stand in solidarity with @mlspa.bsky.social players in this fight. It's the players who make the game possible. It's time the MLS treat their players with the dignity and respect they deserve and give players their fair share of the profits they create ✊

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health conducts critical research that workers rely on to stay safe on the job. But the Trump admin is gutting the agency, putting workers’ safety and health at risk. They must reinstate all NIOSH workers NOW!

The Senate is considering a budget that would have the largest cuts in history to Medicaid and SNAP food assistance. Gutting essential services and giving tax breaks to billionaires won’t help working families. Tell your senators: no cuts that hurt working families! 📲231-400-0602

Telling working people who are fighting to save health care and food assistance for MILLIONS that everyone is going to die anyway is mind boggling. Congress should be working to expand essential services like Medicaid and SNAP, not gut them like the House’s budget would do.

Workers’ rights are under attack in the U.S. In the 2025 Global Rights Index, the Trump admin was cited for taking a “wrecking ball to the collective labor rights of workers” and bringing anti-union billionaires into policymaking. We’re fighting back.

An attack on immigrant workers is an attack on ALL workers. Immigrants are vital to the fabric of our communities, our economy and our labor movement. The real threat workers face is not immigrants - it’s corporate greed.

Happy Pride from America’s unions! We’re wishing the LGBTQIA+ community a joyful and safe Pride Month. The labor movement will always fight for strong contracts that protect LGBTQIA+ workers and make sure everyone can bring their whole selves to work 🏳️‍🌈

Working people are fed up with a system where CEOs make 238x what workers make. That’s not the future that working people deserve, and we’re fighting for a better one. America’s unions are standing up against corporate greed every day.

Tune in as AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Fred Redmond joins the State of the People Power Tour tomorrow in Jackson, Mississippi to talk about how the labor movement can empower Black workers and communities to shape economic and social policies nationwide. stateoftheppl.com

Job Corps prepares students for the workforce by teaching them the skills they need, putting them on the path to good union jobs. Job Corps students are the future. Pausing the program puts them and future jobs in the trades in jeopardy.

The admin is moving to end humanitarian protections for hundreds of thousands of workers - including many union members. Ripping people from their homes & jobs will have harmful ripple effects across our workplaces & economy. We stand in solidarity with immigrant families.

Elon Musk didn't get rid of any waste, fraud or abuse—he and DOGE were the waste, fraud and abuse. We won’t rest until DOGE is fully gone and every harm it has caused to federal workers, essential services, and the people who rely on them is reversed. aflcio.org/press/releas...

Glad they were finally able to make the real government waste, fraud, and abuse leave.

We’re happy and relieved to see Lewelyn free from ICE detention! America’s unions won’t stop fighting until all of our union siblings are back home. An injury to one is an injury to all! ✊

1/ Want to help US workers? Enforce labor law, not deportation orders. Undocumented immigrants are not the problem. The problem is the govt’s inadequate response to structural shifts in the economy that undermine worker power. NEW REPORT: smlr.rutgers.edu/sites/defaul...
