A great visionary who worked to realize a vision of this country that once seemed possible. An extraordinary human being & superb journalist who contributed to our shared understanding of our country and of one another. Rest in Peace Bill Moyers. @pbs www.nytimes.com/2025/06/26/b...

mamdani's win has made the ny times, the washington post, fox news, trump, third way, and the democratic establishment very mad excellent.

RIP to a real one. Stood up for the truth in a sea of lies. Bill Moyers, eminence of public affairs broadcasting, dies at 91 www.washingtonpost.com/obituaries/2...

Jamelle isn’t kidding. There’s a faction of alumni that want to return to the all-white, men’s-only school to which their admission was assured by their race, sex, class, and First Families of Virginia pedigree, where they were guaranteed a degree in exchange for heavy drinking and sexual assault.

Bill Moyers Dead: PBS and CBS Journalist, Documentarian Was 91 share.google/MS9hO1nheWkF... Always loved his perspective. And his connection to George Lucas is cool. Rest In Peace!

Democrats annoyingly emphasize the importance of talking and campaigning on "kitchen table issues." A candidate in their party primary does that and wins, and they are like, "not like that." It seems like Dems would rather win their particular way than win at all.

You know what would encourage people to get more physical activity? No, it is not wearable fitness trackers. It is: 1. A liveable wage so people have time for it 2. Safe parks and other infrastructure for such activity But that’s too hard.

So true.

The Democratic party establishment that lost us the White House, the House, The Senate, 27 Governor races and the Supreme Court went all in for Andrew Cuomo. And it appears they lost again. Time for regime change for the Democratic Party.

Nadler just endorsed Mamdani. A big deal both because of his epic tenure as a congressman and Jewish leader and because, I'm sad to say, the Upper West Side, which he represents and where I live, went for Cuomo and is home to a great many people who (I'm going to put this politely) need reassuring.

Crockett: The First Lady, a model— when I say model I’m not talking about Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford, or Naomi Campbell level— applied for an Einstein visa. You’re supposed to have some sort of significant achievement… She had none of those. It doesn’t take an Einstein to see the math ain’t mathin

The preference for establishment Dems goes like this: 1. Corporate Dems like them 2. Traditional Republicans like McConnell 3. MAGA 4. Progressive Dems, who threaten their cash Hence all hands on deck to stop Mamdani. And spending on young people is to figure how to get them to vote for #1

BRUTAL

Maybe my favorite Fox News trope is when they show the list of things someone they hate wants to do only for you to think to yourself "Wait? They say this stuff is bad?!"

This is a Hall of Fame reader comment on a very reactionary op-ed about Zohran Mamdani's victory that was published in my local paper today.

James: His critics said that he should wait his turn. His critics said that he did not have the experience. His critics said they did not have the right name. Well, now all of them know his god damn name.

Something the Mamdani win demonstrates is the extent to which the reigning cadre of ancient, establishment, centrist Dems think it’s more important to be on good terms with their GOP colleagues than it is to represent their own voters, and how thoroughly sick of this literally everyone is.

The only pollster (literally) to get tonight right, PPP, takes a victory lap. And says they “saw Zohran Mamdani’s first place finish coming before anyone else did for one simple reason: we polled the 2025 electorate instead of the 2021 electorate.” www.publicpolicypolling.com/polls/why-pp...

True! 😺😸😹

Take this as your sign to primary every appeasement-obsessed do-nothing motherfucker who looked at you sideways, gang.

Surprisingly effective things Zohran Mamdani ran on: -free buses -rent freeze -halal cart for $8 instead of $10 -taxing the 1% -no cost childcare -city-owned grocery stores -a Department Of Community Safety for mental health programs and crisis response -building affordable housing -why Cuomo sucks

There's virtually no doubt left that Mamdani will finish first in the 1st-round of this primary, ahead of Cuomo.

Primary every Democrat who is not meeting this moment. Get rid of them all.

Primary almost everyone. Enough is enough. We deserve a better world.

This. Time to say goodbye, thank you and move along to the tired GOP lite Dem establishment. Listen to the base. Listen to new generations. Listen for new ideas. Embrace, celebrate, real change.

White people in 2025: Omg they’re snatching people off the street and doing unthinkable things to them!! This is unheard of, unthinkable, unimaginable!! This isn’t who we are as a country!!! Black people since 1619: Omg they’re snatching people off the street and doing unthinkable things to them!!

if Cuomo loses today and goes ahead with a 3rd party run in the general "No means no" as the counter message is right there

“Impeachment only makes Trump more popular” is a weird form of Democratic learned helplessness. He lost re-election just months after his first annual impeachment. You can argue that he lost only because of Covid but that is far different from offering any real proof that impeachment benefitted him.

If the Supreme Court doesn't like the way its decisions are characterized then it could do a better job explaining itself.

Sounds like typical Dem leadership. Yet all the energy that has happened over the last 25 years has come from bold loud Dems. Whether Dean, Obama (initially before becoming part of establishment), Sanders, AOC. All were seen skeptically and treated poorly by leadership even as they excited ppl.

Andrew Cuomo was the US Secretary of Housing and is now running for mayor, where one of the largest agencies they manage is NYC's Housing Authority. And yet Cuomo literally had ChatGPT write his campaign housing policy. This is who the media and establishment want you to think is "serious"

The Bove allegations should be treated as something akin to Watergate, or Iran Contra. The administration was attempting to do something they *knew* was illegal (anticipating the courts saying as much), and then trying to COVER IT UP. Only here instead of it being run out of the WH or NSC, it’s DOJ

Remember, this new normal -- in which gangs of masked armed gunmen are causing chaos in the streets, pulling weapons and assaulting innocent people, and no one can say if they're crooks or cops -- was all sold to Americans as a way to make us feel safer.

Mamdani should win but he's the latest example of the Democratic Party closing ranks to keep anyone young and exciting and full of energy out of the party - and then they spend countless millions on consultants trying to figure out why they're struggling with young voters

No mother should die in childbirth but some women are more likely to. Rates of postpartum hemorrhage and maternal death are much higher in Black women. And race is a social construct so this is not biological. Racism (systemic) is the risk factor. #ISTH2025

Happy birthday to Dan and John Gilroy! Dan Gilroy wrote the Aldhani arc and Ghorman massacre arc in Andor. John Gilroy was executive producer of Andor and editor of 8 episodes (+ the editor of Rogue One). May the Force be with you!
