Gumroad offers a quick setup for products to check interest. However, with the "pay what you want" model, here's what a creator receives after €1. Are there any alternatives where people can sign up and leave tips?

GM ☀️ Final pass and edits on the book. More people subscribed (and paid!) through my free Gumroad page, which I set up just to track interest. This is definitely not helping with my impostor syndrome, thanks 😄 Diagrams are cool, adding more where appropriate. Let's go!

Kicking off the morning in shades, the baby went to bed too late and I feel like I’m having jet lag. 🤒 I managed to get in a training session but felt very heavy. During morning coffee, I finished the last chapter of the MCP book and sent out the first preview. Let’s go 💪

This is not even a dollar, right? On the other hand, it’s not even a paid product but a pay-what-you-want. And sometimes, this is all you need as a small indie educator to give motivation to finish your next book. Thank you!🙏

Discipline involves not only following through on your commitments but also refraining from actions you know are harmful. I heard something along these lines in a podcast during training, and I think it’ll stick with me for this week. Did you do your Monday workout?

GM devs ☀️ The MCP book is coming together! I have some more work to do on the last and final chapter where I’m using both prompts and resources. It’s pretty cool. And I’m launching this week! Subscribe here to not miss it: akoskm.gumroad.com/l/mcp What are your plans?

I should send more emails Thank you 🥹

One thing that now takes only seconds: Comparing different salaries, full-time, contractor, number of days off, and other benefits. What seemingly looks like a lot better offer, if you deduct the vacations and days off, turns out I would work 20% more for $15/day.

One of my favorite use cases so far

Did you know you can make links clickable in the output of your MCP Server tool call? Simply format the returned text content as markdown:

Geminip-2.5-pro is officially my favorite model: 1. I read the requirements 2. We write code 3. I tell it to change something because it doesn't work as requested 4. It pulls up a requirement I overlooked that my change would break When did Google become so good at AI? 🤯

*completes a hackathon project on a Wednesday that would have taken a month to implement without AI* nobody: a random dev: idk, I feel AI is not there yet...

Sometimes, I see tech 𝕏 and I just want to brush up on my linear algebra, statistics, and probability from college, make ML models, and build a spaceship in my garage

Forget UX and DX. Have you heard about about AX?

let's start this week with 10x productivity agree?

GM devs! Training first thing in the morning keeps me calm when Claude tells me, "Oh, you're right," five times in a row. 😂 Are you done with your morning workout?

Last year, I switched to a full-time gig because I wanted to see what happens at scale. I was always shipping SaaS/apps to mid-sized clients. Here, it's massive data pipelines, petabytes of data, and enterprise clients who rely on your software to keep ticking. This is cool.

there goes my weekend

Imagine ignoring basic algorithmic complexity and relying on LLMs to speed up your code LLM coders, do you check the performance of the generated code?

Random guy: pitches some crypto scheme with 30% returns Me: Congrats, glad it's working out for you, but I'm not interested Them: block 🚫

typescript is microsoft saying thank you

Last night I got an extra hour and made a video for folks who still haven't made an MCP and think it's too big of a gap, and they're behind... This was me a couple of weeks ago. MCPs will spread like wildfire because they are simple to build and run. youtu.be/YJ3iPXqiN7g...

The simplest way to build a full-stack React application is: react-router This gets you set up with Vite Vitest TypeScript Eslint Prettier

Guess what? I just became a principal software developer! I started out as a senior software developer here because I wanted to dive into the big software world. It's got its ups and downs compared to freelancing, but I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Genuine question about the platform: So, as far as I know, it doesn't have ads Over the past few days, I have been looking at many comparisons of Sony's MX5 and AirPods Max. Today, I see this in my feed. It doesn't say this is an ad, and I don't follow the person. How?
