I used to work for an org that lobbied to maintain LIHEAP (the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program). LIHEAP was part of LBJ’s Great Society program. It was reduced to a block grant under Reagan. The GOP has been trying to get rid of it for decades. Millions of the most vulnerable will suffer.
