Yet another cool #milkyway paper today! 🔭 So: the Milky Way has a bar (a bit like e.g. UGC 12158 on the left - pic credit is ESA/Hubble & NASA). That bar in the center of the galaxy has a big impact on dynamics. Zhang+ find that the bar has probably slowed down over time! arxiv.org/abs/2502.02642
