The community of Harrietsfield here in HRM has been fighting for clean water since 1976. In 2010 residents received a letter from Nova Scotia Environment officially informing them that lead, arsenic, and uranium had very likely contaminated their wells & groundwater supply.

The NDP just said they’re going to vote against the Throne Speech. This is a confidence vote, so if it doesn’t pass, say hello to another election! That said, the Bloc will likely vote in favour of it — given Blanchet has suggested he’ll prop up the government until we have a deal with the U.S.
