From last week but this is a brilliant move by China. A continuation of earlier policies and the Belt and Road initiative. Strengthening the supply chains between two regions. Always thought the EU's lack of response to China's policy in Africa was a mistake www.reuters.com/world/africa...

PUTIN WAS KICKED OUT OF G8 in 2014 WHEN HE ANNEXED CRIMEA. TRUDEAU WAS ELECTED IN 2015. THANK YOU FOR THE ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.

Trump: not even a good king.

Sums it up. He never worked a real day for anyone but himself, just grifts, cons, and mugs off the public while pretending to ‘fight for the people’. Imagine being thick enough to think Craftywank actually gives a toss about anyone. #ukpolitics

Private Eye exposing again the utter idiocy of our politics. This sums up *exactly* how Farage and Reform get rocket-boosted by a media, drunk on sensationalist nonsense. Unserious and irresponsible but it’ll be up to us to prove them wrong.

She's right. But the problem is she is not serious, and she is not on the centre-right. Indeed, she is so unserious that 'where on the political spectrum is Kemi Badenoch?' is actually a very difficult question to answer, it's like having to adjudicate 'how bacon is a table?'

UK and Spain announce dual border control system at Gibraltar ports: www.theguardian.com/world/2025/j...

Just hard to really believe that any of the departmental cuts announced today will end up happening, frankly. Another set of salami-slicing and self-delusion on the road to taxes going up again:

"China is also modernising and expanding its military at breakneck speed. It already has the world's largest navy." NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on the security challenge posed by China. Watch the event: bit.ly/3HO5sED

Good news.

Dribbling extremist ideas into the mainstream again. Look forward to the BBC etc staging stupid debates about the #DeathPenalty because “it’s what people are talking about” – even though they weren’t until Farage decided they were. Note plausible deniability too.

I can't help worrying that a future history book about this Starmer Government will be titled 'Squandered'.
