Unhinged …

Simply extraordinary …

"Why do you 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 talk about Pakistani grooming gangs? There are 𝙩𝙚𝙣 times as many white grooming gang suspects?" @maitlis.bsky.social asks ex-Reform MP @rupertlowe.bsky.social why he won't denounce all perpetrators of grooming gangs equally.

Thank God for immigrants open.substack.com/pub/iandunt/...

"I look at Starmer's trajectory and it is immensely difficult not to notice the trail of devastation left behind. Disabled people, Palestinians, trans people, and now immigrants. All I can see is someone who is willing to throw anyone out of his hot air balloon, just so it can rise higher."

Private Eye calls out "former newspaper" Daily Telegraph over its woeful coverage of net-zero

Oh. news.sky.com/story/leaked...

"There were four or five enormous explosions, no pre-warning... Smoke filling the air... A huge crater right outside the entrance to the hospital." Dr Tom Potokar speaks to Matt Frei about the aftermath of strikes on a hospital in Gaza. Read and watch:

Farage looks incredulous when accused by Starmer of saying JLR 'deserve' to go bust at PMQs. Well .... let's have a listen ... #PMQs www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkLX...

Max schooling the guy so hard I almost (*almost) felt sorry for him.

The worst element of what happened this week isn't even about immigration specifically. It's that Starmer surrendered against populism.

Tradesmen, this is how it’s done…

Wait till JD hears about this. He will be furious …

Trump: “Maybe the children will have two dolls instead of 30 dolls…They don’t need 250 pencils, they can have 5.” Also Trump: accepts new Air Force One worth $400M from Qatari royal family.

Trump got Loomered.

This is what corruption looks like.

Since I administered the WH emoluments rules, let me explain why this is forbidden Trump expressed interest in it before it was offered He is going to use & benefit from it a while in office And he's going to keep using it after he leaves! Functionally, it's a gift to him & so it's illegal

Another cracking episode of a much misunderstood Greek myth 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Even Putin would be embarrassed by this.

Tune in now on Times Radio ….

Since "hormones" and "US beef is outlawed" is making the rounds again, here's an informative video on why US beef is such a contentious export. Short version: the legal requirements of potential export markets are too much hassle for US farmer, so quotas go unused youtu.be/PY9UFX1ikAE?...

Huge thank you to the US and UK teams for putting this utterly ambiguous line in the text, so we all get to enjoy weeks of wild speculation. My best guess is they didn't actually agree a list but didn't want to delay the big VE day announce party and are hoping it all works itself out.

Navarro doesn't understand the deal they signed. The text reads: "The United Kingdom and the United States affirm that imported food and agricultural goods must comply with the importing country’s sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) standards and other mutually agreed standards."

From UK perspective it looks like this deal takes the edge of some existing tariffs (cars, steel) & provides a framework to get a better ride on future (pharma), and it doesn’t appear to have given up very much in return. Also doesn’t appear to cut across EU negotiations (as expected).

All you need to know about the US-UK trade deal in one image. Perfect.

BBC Economics Dep Ed Dharshini David: "The average tariff on British goods to the US has tripled compared to a few months ago while goods coming the other way have been cut by two thirds... So when we talk about winners and losers, it's pretty clear who got the upper hand here."

This is good.

Oh dear ... is anyone in charge of the shadow cabinet?

Two headline details of the UK-US trade deal, via No10: - US tariffs on UK steel and aluminum reduced from 25% to zero - US tariffs on UK cars reduced from 27.5% to 10% (for up to 100,000 cars a year)

Can’t see farmers getting behind this …

Something about this feels very off ….

Great stuff from @hugorifkind.bsky.social War on Net Zero has become a culture war issue that makes no sense whatsoever, while at the same time it is filled with hypocrisy from some of the loudest voices.

I'm willing to bet the deal isn't 'full and comprehensive'.

🔴 These two charts expose Nigel Farage’s immigration myths The Reform leader’s campaign is based on blatant, provable falsehoods 👇

Somewhat embarrassing and explains why she gave the trade deal a wide berth at PMQs....

"Who will rid me of this troublesome priest"

FOX NEWS: Some Catholics were not so happy about the image of you looking like the Pope TRUMP: You mean they can't take a joke? You don't mean the Catholics, you mean the fake news media. The Catholics loved it. I had nothing to do with it. Maybe it was AI.

Scary 🤡

Great to join @alexisconran.bsky.social on #TimesRadio, discussing whether govt should tax the companies who make huge profits from selling UPFs, which - the evidence shows - are harming our health and the environment. Surprise: I said yes. ffcc.co.uk/publications...

The quantity of UK goods exports is lower now than in 2016 or 2021. The UK is the only country in the G7 that has this record. #Brexit
