Currently reading. #booksky The intro concerning 14-year-old Moses Mendelssohn entering Berlin through the gate reserved for "cattle and Jews" grabbed me immediately. As Jews integrated themselves into German society, it flourished. Cultures disdaining diversity inevitably fail.

I'm glad to see David Brooks good and pissed off about Trumpism. Lord knows, he's had that effect on me often enough. Kathy and I are both children of WW II vets, and, yeah, we know damn well that our dads were in the Pacific out of love for their country. Damn straight.
