for a class on non-English-language poetry a student handed in a clearly AI-generated essay on Walt Whitman. I confronted the student, told him he could resubmit the assignment for a D if he actually wrote it himself. he simply rephrased the AI essay, still on Whitman, in his own words. we’re fucked
