Wednesday 25th June 2025 Long and tiring day. Got back to Essex at lunchtime, having avoided delays at the Orwell Bridge. Did home stuff. Out tonight to a reception which was very disappointing. Got McDonald's for dinner as three canapés doesn't cut it. Why invite people for 6pm and not feed them?

Tuesday 24th June 2025 Got into a bit of a slump. Not felt this low or unfulfilled in quite some time. Pills and hay fever tablets have been playing havoc with my system - keep falling asleep. I've got a full week of work next week, so no bad thing to have had a few rest days this week.

I have a new neighbour. A red-headed single dad. His arse is the best I have ever seen. Stuff of dreams. We haven't spoken - he keeps himself to himself, always wears shades. Has a son and a baby girl, who come and go. He's just gone off to five-a-side. Fascinating to see him building a life here.

Coming up to half seven and it's 27 degrees celsius. What a difference from this morning. Funny old day.

Rain! We have lots of rain! And how quickly it turns cold in a caravan. I'm actually shutting windows. Glad I only cleaned them inside and not outside yesterday. Perhaps the grass seed the park has chucked on my bare patch beside the patio will now sprout. Leg hurts this morning, but ignoring it.

I've successfully microblogged here on Bluesky every day of 2025 so far. This is quite an achievement! Usually given up by now. Buoyed by this success, I've decided to write a longer weekly (news)letter that you can get straight to your inbox for free. Sign up link: mailchi.mp/2f5b461f04a7...

Monday 23rd June 2025 Summer rolls on. Up at a respectable time. Cooked breakfast and showered, after finishing last night's Z Cars. Rang dad for a catch up. He's fine - much better. Bought tinned fruit. I should buy it more often. Watched lots of telly. Drank most of a bottle of wine. Slept.

As the world descends further into chaos, it's goodnight from Clio and I.

Do we get a day off for the apocalypse?

Big fire! Huge plumes of smoke and flames 12ft into the sky! I rushed outside just as soon as I'd finished my fruit cocktail to make sure it wasn't spreading this way. Walked round park and by the time I was close the brigade had put it out. Looked like it was Peewit next door-possibly a tree alight

Today's lunch was a whole tin of fruit cocktail with single cream. Came in cheaper than a meal deal sarnie and probably better for me. I've finally found a two quid lunch that I can produce at the office. Also yum! 😋

Either I need to get a bigger phone, whittle down my fingers or perhaps BlueSky could give us an edit button so I can fix the typos I didn't read before I pressed the Post button.

What's a poster you had up in your room growing up?

The ATV title card when not followed by the opening notes of the Crossroads theme tune is quite jarring. 📺🎶

As we wake up to a windy coast this morning, but basking in sunshine on this no-work Monday, I share these words of wisdom with you... Good morning and kind regards! 🌞

Sunday 22nd June 2025 Up early and into the car for our drive to Felixstowe today. Arrived just on 8am after a low-traffic glide through Essex and Suffolk. Clio was very cross all the way. She'd hidden under the bed and I had to take off the mattress to get at her. In doing so, I knocked the

Watching Roger's Bits and Doings on YouTube and well let's just say I'm feeling both nostalgic and haunted by my own past as a result. Just been reminded of the QVC two hour Star Trek special shop that I used to look forward to and sit glued to.

Briefly thought about joining English Heritage. From £42 the advert proclaimed. Feels affordable. Nah. Senior is £69 and Individual Adult is £82. I couldn't afford either. Also it's about time that concessions allowed for semi-retired people and not just over 65. Age discrimination must stop.

Lots of half-naked men making their way into the park pool complex this morning. Will be interesting to see what shape they're in when they come back. Me? I'm sat sitting having a can of Monster and a Lidl knock-off Mars bar for breakfast. Setting the tone for the day.
