HAPPENING SOON: Tufts doctoral student Rümeysa Öztürk has a bail hearing coming up in roughly 20 minutes, on the heels of her Second Circuit victory. I'll be covering it in real time for @www.allrisenews.com — Background www.allrisenews.com/p/boasberg-h...

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Air traffic controllers for New Jersey's Newark airport lost radar again for 90 seconds Friday, FAA says.

oops

For the first time, President Donald Trump has a negative approval rating in Texas over his handling of the economy, according to a new poll.

Trump has spent today revealing he binge-watched MSNBC this morning and was particularly incensed that Stephanie Ruhle said that he's "backed into a corner" and is now "looking for an exit" in his self-imposed global trade war. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...

Just think of how bad a Trump cabinet secretary has to be for the White House to conclude he needs adult supervision.

JUST IN: A judge in Md. says Donald Trump's pardon does *not* apply to a Jan. 6 defendant's unrelated conviction for possessing illegal firearms in his home. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

It can’t be overstated: Stephen Miller is deeply, deeply disturbed.

UNREAL: Worcester police and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were seen on video detaining a mother and her teenage daughter, whose face was slammed into the ground, Thursday in the Massachusetts city. www.nbcboston.com/news/local/h...

I am outraged by the unjust arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka earlier this afternoon outside of Delaney Hall in Newark. I am calling for his immediate release by federal law enforcement.

“Many clients see the deals as a weakness and, increasingly, are pulling work away from the firms that [capitulated] to the Trump administration. … Attorneys are leaving the firms that caved to Trump, hoping to get the stink of capitulation off their resumes.”

The most dangerous legal doctrine right now is a "norm" the courts developed to presume good faith and regularity from presidents and their administrations. For the sake of democracy, the courts must stop presuming donald Trump is a regular president. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/the-...

“See you in court.”

📌Everything would have been different if Merrick Garland took this seriously.

tl/dr: City girls just seem to find out early

NY Times Editorial Board: “The first 100 days of President Trump’s second term have done more damage to American democracy than anything else since the demise of Reconstruction. Mr. Trump is attempting to create a presidency unconstrained by Congress or the courts…” www.nytimes.com/2025/05/01/o...

So Navarro here is expressly admitting that it was Trump’s tariffs that caused the economy to contract in the first quarter of 2025.

Today, May 1, is Law Day. For D.C.Bar members, one small but important way to take a stand in support of the rule of law is to support Diane Seltzer for D.C. Bar President. We must defeat her opponent Brad Bondi, brother of the current U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. Please vote here: www.dcbar.org

Trump chewing gum, not wearing the traditional black suit, and fiddling with his phone during the funeral of the pope has people outraged all over the world. Manners maketh man I’m told. #MomSky #Voices4Victory

Trump is flagrantly defying the Supreme Court

Don’t let the arrest of a Federal Judge distract you from the announcement that ICE can enter anyone’s home without a warrant to look for migrants.

No country in the world will take the US seriously as long as a completely ignorant liar is president.

Much, much, much worse than Watergate. Both on the surface, and because the context of the general attack on the Constitution matters to assessing each part. (Nixon's attack on the Constitution was much less broad than even first-term Trump's, let alone the current situation).

Trump is so used to people covering for his lies, and no one calling him out on them, that it probably shocked him to have China flat out say this.

Whether it's Hillary Clinton sharing risotto tips on a private server or Pete Hegseth using the nuclear codes as his password on Pornhub, both parties have ignored our nation's security.

When the moment came, Harvard didn’t hedge or flinch—it stood up. A reminder that integrity isn’t complicated, it’s just rare.

“‘The endowment may be smaller four years from now than it is today, but Harvard will survive Trump,’ predicted Daniel Hemel, an NYU tax law professor. ‘If it could survive the Revolutionary War, it’s going to make it through Trump.’”

Not you, J.D. Not you.

It seems like the federal government wanted to commandeer the judge into doing their law enforcement work, which they cannot do as a constitutional matter. Refusing to assist the federal government is not the same as actively impeding law enforcement. This is highly suspect behavior from the feds.

This criminal complaint seems pretty thin on the statutes charged. She allowed the defendant to leave the courtroom by a different door in her courtroom. The arresting agents literally saw him in the hallway right after going to elevator 1/

These charges are so stupid. There was an ICE agent **in the elevator** with the defendant after he left the courtroom. But oh yeah, the state judge somehow obstructed ICE because she let the defendant leave the courtroom through a side entrance. The Trump DOJ is run by morons and thugs.

They arrested a sitting Judge. This is insane. Every day, the Trump admin commits another blatant act of lawlessness — not just to test our systems, but to test us. I will not grow weary of saying it plainly: We have no kings in America. We must not be silent or look away.

The hashtag #TrumpChickeningOut is trending in China and officials there are saying there are no trade talks happening despite claims by Trump. 😛🥸🤡🐔

Let's get #TrumpChickeningOut trending.

New: We analyzed Trump's meme coin - At least 27 crypto wallets have picked up $100 million worth of $TRUMP coins since his team said the top holders would join him for an "intimate private dinner." Huge profit for Trump; "the most brazenly corrupt thing a President has ever done" wapo.st/4iAatO1

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS.

This is wild: Trump is offering visits to the White House to people who invest in his bullshit crypto scheme. It is pay-for-influence in the most naked possible way. Just because the corruption is out in the open and unhidden doesn't mean it's not corruption.
