This is a vital message: one of the larger reasons BlueSky is refreshingly free of alt-right shitlords is because in the early days we made a gentleperson’s agreement to starve these fuckos out and it worked. No likes, no quotes, no engagement. They got bored and left. Please keep the Old Ways.

Pushing boundaries and buttons, the new book from my man @andrewgurza.bsky.social opens up necessary conversations around #sex, #queerness, and #accessibility. Go Andrew go! #DISABILITY #DISABLED www.theglobeandmail.com/life/health-...

I have a new series at The Globe. The access profiles highlight stories about disabled artists, creators, and leaders doing innovative work in the community. Happy to kick things off with @andrewgurza.bsky.social . www.theglobeandmail.com/life/health-...

Bruce Horak/Lt. Hemmer needs your support! There's less than 2 days left to donate to and boost his fundraiser for his documentary: Boldly Going Please click the link and do what you can, thank you! And check out our interview with this wonderful artist on the channel! igg.me/at/boldlygoi...

I remember watching Ananda on MTV. She died at 52 from a preventable & treatable form of cancer bc she worried mammogram radiation would give her cancer. She then declined treatment when diagnosed, which she regretted when it was too late. The “wellness” industry is literally scaring people to death

This is, objectively, a lethal deployment of "less lethal" weapons. The directions for the use of these weapons expressly tell folks NOT to do this.

Not every march needs to end with a specific homework assignment! As 50+ years of Prides show, sometime the point is simply to prove you exist. I think a lot of people felt much less alone after they went home yesterday; and that's a huge step towards joining something, anything, tomorrow.

Today @pupamp.bsky.social & @andrewgurza.bsky.social sit down to chat debunking disability and making it less stigmatized, but not before we discuss the raids in LA and how that might affect the rest of the country… Itunes: apple.co/2QkMDwk Spotify: spoti.fi/2QjPNjL

US troops cheer and clap at Trump goading them to go to war with unarmed US citizens.

The amount of shit I have to tolerate from people sometimes because I'm disabled is absolutely unbelievable. Yes, sometimes I confront people, but it's not that easy when those people can just... decide not feed you. People act like this is simple, but it's not the same as being able bodied

I think that all disabled people on BlueSky should automatically be verified. Our knowledge, expertise and lived experiences are too valuable.

We really need to break free of this parasocial model where we need our 'follows' to be our perfect personal heroes who agree with us 100% on everything or we burn them to the ground. Begging people to be normal.

love how ambiguous "content creator" is; who knows if he makes recipes from the 1700s in period garb or films sex in his RV

gee, Jake Tapper sure seems to have shut the fuck up fast about Joe Biden after his book sales ended up in the shitter

the truth about my wheelchair, and my disability FOR ME is that sometimes, I am “wheelchair-bound”. Sometimes, it feels like a trap, and anything but freedom... that’s just the truth.

We were hoping that this letter to @bsky.app could first be shared by a Gazan, but we were too worried that doing so would get their account deleted so we are sharing first. You can sign on to the letter about the unfair treatment of Gazans on Bluesky here: docs.google.com/document/d/1...

@stiffbrush.bsky.social we should connect some time

hey, hi, hello. severely disabled people who will never be able to work (yes, even not a little) *deserve* good things.

The biggest mistake I see in discussions of trans people's healthcare is the idea that hormones and the like are some special service just for us when really all kinds of people access the same health care for all kinds of reasons but they are *withheld* from us because we are trans

when disabled people talk about intimacy, it scares non-disabled people because many of you can’t actually imagine getting that close to us.
