I want my tax dollars to fund: - public schools - public libraries - public transit - public bathrooms - public parks & plazas - public lands - public roads that are safe for all people - public services to help people These investments make our cities and towns better for everyone.

Probably one of my favorite scenes in all of television history. The directing, the writing, the performances, the editing, the whole mood of it is just extraordinary. youtu.be/FcsNhIozEPo

Let’s not mince words on exactly what the MAGA movement is.

New Yorkers scream out each officer’s lawsuits against them for excessive force and more upon their city, right to their faces while protesting.

Padilla: If this is how DHS responds to a senator with a question you can only imagine what they're doing to farm workers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California.

My thoughts on what’s going on in Los Angeles:

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

The bottom line on the Trump-Musk feud www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Welcome to America, where protesting illegal kidnappings without due process is an insurrection, but attacking the nation’s Capitol is not.

For years we've heard from the right about "welfare queens" and other so-called "freeloaders" pulling one over on the government. But actually, it's the wealthy who are the real freeloaders — pulling one over on us all by skirting their taxes. Where is the outrage over that?

If you are looking for a quality movie look no farther than Jeremy Saulnier's "Rebel Ridge" (2024). This is an updated take on "First Blood" but with more cinematic style, intelligence, and nuance. Super intense from start to finish. Saulnier's been making great movies for a while now. #filmsky

"We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both."  —Louis Brandeis

Musk should be asked about this in every interview he does now and forever. To ignore it is a dereliction of duty. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...
