You are loved. I've got your back. 🏳️‍⚧️

Absolutely gutted that this special woman is gone. We spent many happy times together including the most riotous Christmas I’ve ever had. Sorry I couldn’t be there more for you in recent years. Love you always xxxxx

When an autistic person is sharing a special interest be mindful that growing up we were often shut down or made fun of for sharing & what you consider “playful teasing” can be taken as mean/hurtful especially if we feel confident/comfy enough to unmask & share something with you or our communities.

Healthy eating is a privilege. “Wellness” is a privilege. Being able to go to the gym, yoga, hiking etc are all privileges. These things won’t “cure” disability, but even if they could, they’re out of reach for a huge portion of the population. Universal basic income now.

Well done, @jasonreiduk.bsky.social - great job. inews.co.uk/news/specsav...

I have just been on the phone with a lovely human called Lien after seeing this post by the LGBTQ+ Project. Uptake has not been very high and I think this is a great cause to be supported. Sharing LGBTQ+ stories. (More details what they are after below) Please Share far and wide!

“I love teaching people about current events, and social issues, and how to show basic decency to marginalised people. It’s my job; I don’t know how or why, but it’s my job. People wouldn’t do their own research otherwise, which leads me to believe that they just can’t.”

When a disabled person has a traumatizing medical experience, people are quick to say “just lodge a complaint!” They don’t consider all the barriers that exist. The threat of retaliation. The potential for being labeled “difficult”. The fact that most complaints go nowhere.

Anyone can become disabled at any time. It’s one of the few minority groups you can always join. Even if you do everything “right”. Even if you’re young and healthy. Even if you “try hard” It’s not a moral failing. It’s a part of life. Engage in disability justice.

You’ll never guess which country wouldn’t sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and has not accepted IAEA safeguards on some of its principle nuclear activities. Go on, guess No, not Iran Guess again Yep, Israel
