Can’t believe Trump nominated Nathan Fielder to head the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Eating a half gallon of supermarket ice cream in my car.

Drinking coffee and listening to Minutemen.

AI could never.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!

@yourpalbingo.bsky.social Thank you for including my audiobooks in the show’s Imp Pit segment, Bingo! As far as the audiobooks, if you’re looking for a place to start, I recommend trying Now We Have Nothing. It’s narrated by a British witch. 🧙 I’m an Imp for life! @halfwayokay.bsky.social

Always wondered what Malkmus says at the end of “Unfair”. #Pavement #lyrics 😂

“Modern life is a palace built on endless suffering.” -Dick Stusso

“We’re skeletons now!”

Hey friends, six of my novels are now available as audiobooks! Audio versions of my stories can be purchased for $6.99 US each via Amazon. If you’re an Audible subscriber, you can listen to all six books for free.

Finished The Bee Sting by Paul Murray. Rich storytelling. A tale that’s as brutal as it is beautiful. Details the ups & downs of a family in present day Ireland. Think: American Beauty or the PT Anderson films Magnolia & Boogie Nights. Tragic characters. Paul Murray tore his heart out. Strong stuff.

Episode 386 is available! Andy sings a Pulp song then talks about his terror upon finishing the edits on his upcoming novel, How to Saw a Man in Half. On Rachel's Chart Chat, Rachel from Des Moines (@therachel.bsky.social) launches part one of a new miniseries on Journey's 1978 album, Infinity.

Just spotted this David Lynch bumper sticker in the wild. #TwinPeaks

Look, I don’t know if this podcast is for you. I mean, I’m listening to OOIOO as I type this. If you want to hear three gen X men make each other giggle for two hours, you could do a lot worse. @empathyapocalypse.bsky.social @halfwayokay.bsky.social @joshseybert.bsky.social @yourpalbingo.bsky.social

Salman Rushdie once said, “Only write the books you have to write.” Last night I stayed up late finishing the edits on my ‘25 book, How to Saw a Man in Half. This morning I ordered the 1st proof copy. This was the most painful writing experience of my life, but I had to write it to put it behind me.

Another new Pulp song, “Got to Have Love”, from their upcoming album, More, has been made available! #newmusic

Drinking water and listening to Pink Floyd.

Another banger! ♥♥♥

This is easily my favorite episode we've done. If you like reading my dumb jokes, you'll enjoy the dumb jokes we tell each other on this podcast. That's a Josh-guarantee!

How much ALF can three men talk? The answer will NOT surprise you!

Just picked these up at the library:

Finished The Chronicles of DOOM by S.H. Fernando Jr. A biography of rapper MF Doom that begins in the 90s with Doom (then Zev Love X) & his association with 3rd Bass & follows his resurrection & fiercely independent rise as the villainous rapper persona MF Doom. Not for casual fans. An awesome book.

Episode 384 is now available! Andy plays an atypical song by a well known act, approves of John Mulaney’s musical guests, and he can’t believe how many times Arcade Fire has played SNL. On Rachel’s Chart Chat, Rachel from Des Moines (@therachel.bsky.social) discusses the 1980 Yes album Drama.

Finished Nobody’s Empire by Stuart Murdoch. Novel by the guy best known as the lead singer of Belle & Sebastian. Story takes place in the early 90s. Told from the perspective of Stephen, a musician with chronic fatigue syndrome. He starts a band & travels to the US. Nothing too harrowing. Just okay.
