I've noticed that machine translations have really taken off in online stores lately, which pisses me off for multiple reasons, not least because the results are often a mess. Which, of course, has consequences. If a wool coat is called a "cardigan" in translation, that affects the search function.

Here's an anti-rec for an email provider, in case someone else is looking into non-US/non-Google options. I wanted to move away from gmail. I found @mailbox.org and tried it out. It seeemed fine, so I subscribed. I ran into a technical problem basically right away, so I created a support ticket.

I read this and thought, well, that makes many MDZS characters make a lot of sense -- the ones who are sort-of-decent but still take part in the post-Sunshot Campaign bullshittery -- but it especially made Lan Qiren vis-à-vis pre-Sunshot!Wei Wuxian make so, so much sense.
