I told my wife this idea and she said it was gross. I don't think so. I wish there was a combined toothbrush/water flosser where the base/basin/pump was waterproof, portable, and battery-powered. I could bring it in the shower, brush and floss, and use the water from the shower to refill the basin.

I used to be a pretty good bowler. Consistently over 200 back in my teens. Back when you could bowl for less than $300 or whatever it costs now.

The birds at the bird feeder watching me BBQing chicken not 10 feet away.

I would pay a 10% markup on LEGO sets if they came with the stickers pre-applied. My swear jar is FULL.

Used this TypeScript pattern today that I was pretty happy with. Write a function that accepts: * A callback that returns a Rust-like Result 🦀. * A success handler that stringifies the Ok variant of the Result. * An error handler but only if the callback can return an Err variant of the Result.

Software engineers enjoy LEGO because it's the only time they get all the requirements and instructions before building something 😅

If you mark an MCP server tool as destructive, can you rely on MCP clients to prompt before performing the destructive action? Since the "destructiveHint" tool annotation only means it "may" perform a destructive update, how does the client know when it will?

I used to have the biggest crush on Gavin Rossdale. I mean... I still do, but I used to too.

Pearl Jam's "Yellow Ledbetter" is special to me. It got practically no airtime, even on Seattle alternative radio. However, on one day in the 90s, I remember 107.7 KNDD aired it and I cranked my AIWA stereo to 11. One of the speakers vibrated off my dresser and broke. Totally worth it.

Dear weird neighbors... I will literally pay for your garbage service to get you to stop burning your trash. You're smoking out the neighborhood when everyone is outside trying to enjoy the nice weather.

Gonna try to put Windows 11 on an 11-year-old Surface Pro 3. 🤞

Since my ice maker stopped working I've been diligent in using my silicon ice molds. So now my ice tray looks like this.

Been dreaming about MCP lately. Probably time to take a break.

Choosing violence today.

The phrase "if you word it that way you'll sound like a dick" runs through my head about 1000 times a day.

Went to Bellevue Square yesterday - felt bad for the Polestar showroom. It was empty while the Tesla showroom was packed.

People are upset over a... $15 increase on the WA St. Discover Pass whose price hasn't changed since 2011? Huh?

Timing my bites so I don't have a mouthful of food when the waitress stops by to ask how the food is so I can smile and say "all good thanks!"

I periodically check my 10yo son's search history and find treasures like: "where to watch homestar runner" This kid is alright

Strong opinions but weakly held is the way.

My wife's most boomer quality is that she collected all 50 of the State quarters back in 1999, has them in a commemorative booklet, and put it in our fireproof safe with the important docs.

Was on a call today with a coworker whose video kept stuttering. He was sharing his screen and the last thing we saw was that VS Code was using 120 GB of RAM. I'm sorry, what? 😮

Why doesn't Google Meet have multi-screen mode? Where I can share both screens and my coworkers will see each in its own window. Or I could share a screen and my coworker could share their screen too so we can pair program and both see what the other is doing.
