Do not psych yourself out of going to #NoKings Day because of scary-sounding viral content. That’s not the vibe. This is a mass demonstration designed to be big, safe, and accessible. I can't wait to see you all out there. ♡

If fear makes you back down from protesting you let the other side win

"Without identifying himself" HE'S A US SENATOR AND YOU'RE A GOVERNMENT AGENCY

NEW: 12 masked armed men try to enter a homeless shelter without saying who they are. ICE agents park outside an elementary school, sparking fear and a car accident. Local police respond to a call about a possible assault, only to find ICE. Inside one day on LI: theintercept.com/2025/06/13/i...

What they aren’t showing on Fox News

Sen. Alex Padilla: "If this is how this DHS responds to a senator with a question, I can only imagine what they're doing to farmers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California and throughout the country. We will hold this administration accountable."

This grotesque cowardly ICE bully grabbed and pushed community organizers from @newvamajority.bsky.social who are LEGALLY permitted to observe and record what is happening in the parking lot of a courthouse. www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/i...

If you are in VA vote Hashmi for Lt governor

You do not have to say “pro vaccine groups.” You can say the vast majority of doctors and scientists and the American Medical Association.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

Infuriating. ACAB.

This protest movement is going to spread. People are going to need to get comfortable with discomfort. There are going to be inconveniences. There are going to be tense moments. There’s going to be violence. None of this is easy. We didn’t ask for this fight but the fight is here.

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

It’s so much worse this time. It might not be clear if you don’t live in LA, but the supposed “riots” are tiny. They’re nothing like George Floyd in 2020. Protests are happening in a few blocks downtown and as resistance to specific ICE raids. This is 100% pretense for fascist subjugation.

There's a real attentional trap that all protest movements face and have faced for a long time. If you pull off protests that are polite and civil, even if large, they will struggle to get coverage. Reporters will dismiss them as not newsworthy.

More people should be talking about the utter freak that is Stephen Miller and his white nationalist worldview. He's the architect behind most of this chaos as Trump is golfing, falling asleep during meetings, making money of memecoins and tripping while climbing stairs.

I am in downtown Los Angeles right now and it is completely surreal to hear that Trump is sending Marines here. We are listening to mariachi music. People have dogs. There are teenagers here. It is utterly and completely peaceful. Please tell your friends.

The situation in DTLA to which 700 Marines have been deployed is a couple dozen interfaith clergypersons leading a small crowd in prayer.

not the main issue here but i'd really appreciate it if democratic politicians spoke out in support of big-city life and culture with the same energy and reverence that all politicians have for small towns los angeles is "real america" and so are all the other big cities the president hates

Why do these people not ask themselves why the feds are making such a mess? Or cleaning up after themselves? Or why the protest is there in the first place. So brainwashed.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

Entering my yub nub era

not sure there's a more embarrassing profession than ICE agent. Oh, you dress like a soldier to abduct sous chefs and throw flashbangs at protesters? Get a real job you loser

Look at my opposition party dawg

In the war against climate change I’m on the side of the penguins

Feels like a uniquely American brand of stupidity to try and mobilize troops for the battle of Home Depot

People of LA are inspiring for standing up to tyranny and others should follow suit

Reports that ICE ran a barricade and hit protesters in LA

The NYC mayor debate ended on a heated exchange about Israel. THE NEW YORK CITY MAYOR DEBATE Regardless of your view on this, this again iterates my point how cucked the USA is by Israel. Why do politicians around the country feel the need get on their knees before a genocidal ethnostate far away.

This criticism makes no sense. They're taunting Trump for chickening out on policies which they oppose. Would they rather he followed through on them?

Oh so Taylor could get her songs back. Were the Taylor's Versions just made for money?

Bro we got one piece fans running for congress

This is the second time in one year the FBI has visited me over a document I lawfully published. If you want to know why media constantly refuses to publish things, here's why.

I interviewed a half-dozen people who knew Elias Rodriguez and went over countless private messages of his and couldn't find any anti-Semitic remarks www.kenklippenstein.com/p/read-elias...

No AI in sight just people living in the moment

The mayor of Boston speaking on the Israeli embassy murders. It’s amazing how when anything bad happens to anything remotely connected to Israel everyone has to drop what they’re doing to throw their thoughts and prayers in. Even if it’s murders in a city hundreds of miles away.

when i was a child, my family took CHIP and food stamps. this shaped my entire orientation toward government programs (positive) in a way most pundits don't have access to. and also, not to brag, but i think my siblings and i are proof that the ROI on feeding children is very high

Unironically they should buy up the domains for about 60 defunct local newspapers in swing states. Hire two reporters to write almost exclusively about highschool sports and new restaurants opening with every 10th article about how the local GOP is screwing over people.
