"idiots will suggest obvious solutions" well considering your site gets hacked every other day, anyone offering the basics is 100% justified in assuming that you're all idiots who need that level of hand-holding.

It's funny, the one time collective action on a product actually worked was with motion controls. The era where every game company said "wouldn't it be fun if you moved more than your fingers while gaming?" and was met with a resounding "How dare you?! You're violating my rights!"

Outside of the games that are abruptly closing outright, there's some games perilously entering the "we're not supporting this anyway but it'll be online for a few months" phase.

if the prevalence of gambling ads and sponsorships infesting everything is anything to go by, an obscene chunk of the adult population is genuinely addicted to gambling and nobody cares. and younger people are developing the addiction from gacha games too
