"How would the punters get to them?" absolutely entering my political meme lexicon, thanks Ash

People think I’m crazy when I say this is coordinated and organised but 42 articles in 11 days kinda proves my point. When was the last time you personally had an issue with a trans person? Likely not but the papers want you to believe this is the number 1 issue

They need their readers to be made constantly angry at marginalised communities so that they never realise that billionaires are the actual cause of their problems.

You are literally punishing the third child and its other siblings, it’s not just the parents who lose out. Also parents can make the choice to have more than two children while solvent then fall on hard times which is common in our redundancy trigger happy job market.

Getting rid of stigmatising 'feminine hygiene' language around periods benefits cis women. But there's a chance it could benefit some trans people too, so now it's Bad and must ve opposed.

I discovered yesterday, in a mass email sent at 3am, that I will not be receiving the roughly £40,000 that my publisher Unbound/Boundless owes me for pre-order sales of The Paradox Paradox. The payment for five years of work, gone. #unboundless

Please read this author's thread & support them. To summarise: Boundless CEO: The contracts that said I had to pay you were all with Unbound which was the previous company, so I don't actually have to pay! Also the Boundless CEO: we bought the contracts which means we own the rights to your books

Unbound/Boundless owes me $15k+ on a book that in its first royalty reporting cycle had sold around 3k copies of its 5k copy print run of which I have not seen a single penny. They also haven’t even reimbursed me for postage costs I incurred mailing out the arcs in the US at their request

Bloody hell. And I thought the £20,000+ they owe me was a lot. This just keeps getting bigger.

If removing queer visibility stopped people being queer, there would be no queer people.

The Unbound fuck-up is specifically awful, but generic. The creators of “content” being the last people to get paid, while the people who own the pipe do fine. It’s the new normal. It’s Spotify’s CEO taking home millions. It’s AI stealing our work. It’s that. Again. Which is exhausting.

Transport for London has blocked adverts from running on the tube that urge people to lobby their MP to vote to decriminalise abortion — because they may bring the Metropolitan Police into disrepute. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Musk should be asked about this in every interview he does now and forever. To ignore it is a dereliction of duty. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...

Lawbreaking is "out of control", says well-known respecter of laws and rules, Robert Jenrick

Yesterday, in what looked more like a military detention site than a humanitarian center, with thousands of Palestinians hoping to receive basic food, Israeli forces opened fire. At least one person was killed and 48 injured, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

"Was it this ruling that emboldened him to question my appearance?" Voice-over: it was the recent Supreme Court ruling that emboldened him to verbally assault someone he thought was in the wrong toilet queue

CONCENTRATING them. Into CAMPS.

Last week: "Do you want to revert to Classic Teams?" This week: "Do you want to try New Teams?" Rinse repeatedly, weekly until end of time

The problem is, economic growth as far as government is concerned is growing wealth for companies. AI might provide some data centre jobs, but what it's really all about is replacing more expensive to run, humans. This economic growth, then, doesn't in any way put money in ordinary people's pockets.

Nick Clegg says that burglars asking for permission to take all your stuff would kill the house-breaking industry. www.theverge.com/news/674366/...

Are Download festival going to be policing the gender of all the attendees? Will they be issuing different colour wristbands on entry based on a gender checkin point? How are they planning to enforce this nonsense?

I see this bollocks from Download and I'm glad my employer came out last week and said that all trans staff & volunteers can continue to use the facilities that they identify with as we are an inclusive organisation. The EHRC stuff is not legally binding. It isn't the "law". It's (bad) guidance.

Gendered single occupancy spaces are the height of stupidity, I always ignore the sign and just use the next avalible one, I know a lot cis folk that do that too.

Artists already know that giving over their art to AI for free will kill art.

This is roughly the same logical tier as a man saying "Asking for consent would kill my sex life." Maybe that's true. But if it is true, it's important that it happens as soon as possible.

Nick Clegg really does fly under the radar as a massive cunt who helped get us where we are today. 5p charge for plastic bags in return for more benefit sanctions indeed.

Lets be very clear here, its not trans people could be forced to present papers, its people SUSPECTED of being trans

Capitulating to "parents rights" is bullshit but anyway, what a surprise that even that was a lie. It's about creationist control freaks.
