Ben Lui and Beinn a'Chlèibh yesterday. Dry underfoot. Views forever. Hot. I think Stri hated me. But she was in and out the streams. Munro 71 and 72 for her. #Munros #Scotland #mountains.

‘Reckless and Inhumane’: Scottish Care Condemns Plans to Scrap Social Care Visas scottishcare.org/media-releas...

An inconvenient truth for the racists and xenophobes (and Labour): Low birth rate in the UK inevitably means fewer young supporting ever more older people. Immigration brings in young people and eases the problem. Without it, everyone must work longer.

1 in 5 of the UK’s care workforce have a non-British passport. Starmer would have us believe these carers are the “squalid” result of a “failed experiment”. I say they do vital, necessary, humane, skilled work and they are worth their weight in gold.

Wee wander up Beinn Chabhair, from Inverarnan on Wednesday. Harder than I remember. Stri loved it. #munros, #Scotland

An intriguing hint of what lies beneath - these are my photos from the copse at the centre of Castlecary Roman fort on the Antonine Wall. The stones sticking out of the ground are the remains of the fort's Principia (Headquarters) which was excavated in 1902 and later reburied. #RomanFortThursday

What a beautiful day on Croy Hill. Trees have grown up in the ruins of the fort on the Antonine Wall. Ditch and wall rampart on the right.
