Today in Circus History 🎪 On May 1st, 1934, Marie Novotna was born into a Czech circus and worked as a contortionist and wire dancer. Marie’s act inspired Frantisek Faltynkovi to perform again. His own family had already retired and sent him to the army. They married and started a new Circus ❤️

My favorite story to tell: When I was maybe 7, I went to the town carnival, played a game where I had to pick a number, and was too overwhelmed and overstimulated to choose. The kind teen working the game said, “My lucky number is 23. You can borrow it!” I did. I won. 23 is still my favorite number.

Fun fact about me: I'm really into arcades! Started when I was young since the safety rail flew off a rollercoaster mid-ride so instead of rides, I focused on carnival games and arcade games. Found out my hand-eye coordination helped a lot and the rest is history! I've won 10-15 consoles in total!
