📣 The UUA has issued a powerful response to the recent anti-trans presidential proclamation. Trans people are sacred. Trans youth deserve safety, love, and affirmation—not hate. 💬 Read the full statement: www.uua.org/pressroom/pr... #UU #UnitarianUniversalist #Transrights #belovedcommunity

What is at stake if IMLS is defunded and dismantled from a Michigan perspective? 1/xx

"In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people." — July 4, 1776

Ferndale Pride just stood on principles and rejected a sponsorship from Corewell Health because they cut access to gender-affirming care. Support is way down this year, so please join me in becoming a sponsor or donating. 🏳️‍⚧️ pridesource.com/article/fern... ferndalepride.com/sponsors/202...

If you are seeking healthcare, please continue to do so. If you are providing healthcare in compliance with Michigan law, continue to do so. m.youtube.com/shorts/X6IBy...

The first Senators to actually do anything about the Trump admin

I just sent this post by @stacybias.bsky.social to my therapist in preparation for therapy tonight in case anyone else needs it #AuDHD

On day one Trump's EO said we were harmful to kids. On day two, it said we were dishonorable and disloyal. On day three, it said we were unAmerican. Transgender people have been a part of this country for centuries. We are not going anywhere. Do not comply with these EOs, they are not law.

If you don't have many transgender people in your life, you might be aware generally of the anti-trans bigotry coming from the Trump administration, but not aware of the extreme details and the immediate danger. Good sources to follow include @erininthemorning.com and @assignedmedia.org. (1/3)

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last. Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

When they make you a criminal just for existing as yourself, then the entirety of the law no longer has any claim on your obedience. You are then bound only by your own conscience.

Bluesky doesn't support audio files, and video files are limited to 60 seconds. Guess I'll just keep posting my music over on Mastodon. I love making music but rarely find time to turn little sketches into something finished. Here's last night's bit of synthiness anyway: tech.lgbt/@autumn/1137...

It's been a rough stretch and I'm trying not to be too hard on myself for struggling to keep up with everything. But the youngest kiddo and I just made the most charlie-browniest yule log out of extra campfire wood and a bunch of birthday candles... and that feels like so much more than enough. 🕯️

Today seemed like an appropriate day to renew my ACLU membership and send in a donation. 🏳️‍⚧️

The Detroit Public Library is such an amazingly beautiful and reverent place. "Knowledge is Power", indeed. Michigan folks — if you already have a library card in your home city, show it at the DPL circulation desk and they'll give you a Detroit library card for free.

This has been a really difficult month for a number of reasons, and I'm finding that at least right now I'm having a hard time focusing while working alone at home. So today I rode my bike to the library and am working from one of the study rooms. Libraries coming in clutch once again... 💚

Signal alone is not enough. If you are an activist, you need a complete self-defense against surveillance. @eff.org has been maintaining these resources for years: ssd.eff.org
