I've read 14 history and non fiction books in 2024. In order 1) white gold - the extraordinary story of white slavery in 17th/18th century Morocco. 2) the lion and the unicorn - the parallel lives of Disraeli and Gladstone.

Just finished this - a brilliant introduction to the world Genghis khan was born into, to the world he created and ultimately to the legacy of the Mongols.

2nd post...Andrea Jenkyns has moved to Reform because of the chance to become mayor of Greater Lincolnshire. Lincs is fertile territory for reform and this offers her a cabinet level salary. Follow the money we as they say.

1st post. I am not a labour supporter at all but I don't agree with Louise Haigh's resignation. It seems excessively harsh for an offence that took place 10 years ago, seems a one off and is now "spent." Proportionality is a key concept we often overlook.
