Two days in LA, and how is this city less vegan-friendly than Atlanta?

Made a mood board for the short story I'm writing currently.

Unsolicited writing advice, no.111: There are two kinds of writer; the one who throws their whole energy and personality into BEING a writer, and the one who puts energy into WRITING. Both are a kind of performance. Only one produces results.

Most people don't understand the allure of a night black existence of wampyric darkness in the haunted peaks of the frostbitten Carpathians and all that shit, and that's what's wrong with the world today

My favorite lines from #Hamilton.

I think she’s having an existential crisis.

Just finished Somewhere Between Bitter and Sweet by Laekan Zea Kemp. Such a sweet little romance drama book. Loved the descriptions of Mexican food, too. 4/5, for me.

"smart dishwasher" why the fuck would I want a smart dishwasher I like my appliances stupid and meek thank you very much

At this point watching #WhenThePhoneRings is like watching a slow motion car crash, where the two cars are soap operas and Wattpad. I'm still gonna watch the finale, though.

I need to redesign my carrd because it sucks so bad. Does anyone have any helpful videos, guides, etc? #carrd

#currentread Somewhere Between bitter and Sweet by Leakan Zea Kemp. I like it so far. Some of the family dynamics are familiar, and I like reading about the food.

Does anyone else get second-hand anxiety/embarrassment from fiction? If someone gets embarrassed on TV, I skip past it or avoid it. If it's a book, I put the book down for a bit. There's an upcoming confrontation scene I think in #WhenthePhoneRings, this #kdrama I'm watching, and ugh.. it's hard.

Libraries are so cute. Please get the Libby and Hoopla app on your phone and the Kanopy app for your TV. It makes the libraries so happy and you can access books, movies, magazines, audiobooks, tv shows, and joy. YOU GET FREE JOY

Any self-help book you didn’t write is not a self-help book.

Quote from Minju party leader Park Chan-dae’s speech today, which referenced Han Kang’s Nobel Prize win: “She asked, “Can the past help the present? Can the dead save the living?” Experiencing the insurrection, I want to say “yes.” Because Gwangju 1980 protected us in December 2024.”

me: trying to write a regency romance, and having dangerous animals in the woods england: bears - extinct, wolves - we hunted those to extinction in the 18th century, no tigers, no lions. we got ticks, though, and whatever tf adders are #writingcommunity #writing #regencyromance #writersky

I knew they were dumb when they got rid of inkpop and autonomy. They don’t have to keep demonstrating it. No one wants this garbage idea.

Age yourself with a movie you saw in the theater as a kid.

Two of my favorite things: libraries and my dogs. The dream is to someday have a home library, so I don't have to compromise. #writingcommunity #library #booksky (picture from pinterest)

Please share your story's exact, specific genre. To start off, my current WIP, I'd describe as a political romantasy. What's yours? #writingcommunity #writingsky #booksky

Just came across a bot account, impersonating another writer. I'm not the most tech smart, so didn't catch on immediately. Heads up, everyone. Bots suck and they're here too. #writingcommunity #booksky #writingsky #writing #psa

Currently reading Rage Becomes Her, by Soraya Chemaly... I love the book so far, but I'm realizing a lot of things about myself. #booksky #currentread #feministbooks

The more I tune into politics, the more I realize that democracy is not a wheel moving forward. It's a pendulum swinging back and forth, and we're all just along for the ride, getting nauseous sometimes.

Kim Keon Hee got the bag, and now Yoon Seok Yeol might get the boot. #SouthKorea

Of all the South Korean presidents I've been aware of since following global politics, gotta say... President Moon Jae In wins, hands down.

Maybe not so controversial opinion: listening to audiobooks still counts as reading. People with dyslexia who love books exist. Two people in my life are like this, and they've torn through more books than me. One of them being my dad.

Well, this explains why I've been hitting my word goals recently. #writingcommunity #booksky #writersky

This is why I use a pseudonym.
