Bombing for peace is like burning books to promote literacy.

If you’ve ever felt like asking for help would cost too much, this one’s for you.

Every time I get into something and start sharing it, I get a little self-conscious. Like, oh no, am I posting too much? Lately, it’s blogs. But honestly, besides 3D printing, it’s one of the only things helping me focus and not totally spiral about the state of the world. 🥺

If we could string together just a few days without unimaginable horrors in the news, my nervous system would be very grateful. But I guess the panic is the point. 🙄

going to walk up to someone, punch them in the face, and then go "now is the time for peace!" and see how it works out

illegal war started by a man constitutionally ineligible to be president

The at home assassination of a state lawmaker should be getting a bigger reaction from the President than someone throwing a rock at a Tesla dealership.

Gonna update my Slack notification sound to a pained scream so it matches my emotional state when it goes off.

What are some good orgs for trans youth that could use some donations on this awful day? Reply below.

I have been at back-to-back events for well over a month. I can't believe that this used to be a regular occurrence for me. I am in shambles. I am so happy to be back in my regular routine. You have no idea.

Just published an 18-minute blog post about the emotional nuance of giving and receiving feedback… because obviously this is the conversation we all need while the world is maybe (?) ending. I haven’t checked the news in 2 days. Should I… just let “feedback is care” be my legacy?

New blog: I’ll admit, this one’s a bit of a ramble, mostly because I care a lot about how we give feedback, how we receive it, and why it so often feels like an attack (even when it isn’t). TL;DR: Feedback is care, when it’s done with intention. ashley.dev/posts/feedba...

Pretty obsessed with our booth prize at @renderatl.com this year!

I downloaded the app and saw my face when I opened it. Pretty cool. Anywayyy, I’m at @renderatl.com this week, would love to see folks! I forgot to register for tonight’s events, so I’m locked in my room working on my lightning talk. 📝

The other day, my Uber driver insisted that I pick something to listen to, so I said, “Anything Doechii.” The first song that came on was Nissan Altima. Anywayyy, it was a hard transition from the yacht rock he was listening to when I got in the car, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.

People trying to protect their neighbors are not the problem. The fact that some of you are thinking that way reflects a level of psychological capture & submission to fascism that you should interrogate. If they want an "excuse" to do something, they'll create one. The good guys aren't the problem.

✨ I’ve got a couple of extra General Admission tickets to @renderatl.com and I’d love to give them to folks who might not otherwise get a chance to go. If you’re from an underrepresented group in tech and want to be in the room or know someone who should be DM me!

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people won’t let others enjoy things. It doesn’t have to be your thing. You don’t have to like it. But if it makes someone else happy and it’s not hurting anyone, just let them have it. Things are hard enough as is.

Not to brag or anything (jk, I’m totally bragging) but I’m on my first kidless vacation since 2016, and it’s great. 10/10. AMA
