I stumbled blindly onto the Worldcon controversy today. Having read some commentary I'm left with the impression that no one seems understand the problem. Using Chat-GPT to assess a person gives the platform owner's control over what is said about them, or, in other words, GIGO.

I'm going to sound like that person when I say this sounds great, but it means nothing without knowing the bigger picture. During the Battle for Stalingrad, the Russians & Germans lost around a 1000 soldiers per day over the course of 6 months. I hope for Ukraine's victory, but this isn't victory.
