The White House seized control of the press pool today, announcing that the administration — not an independent group of journalists — will decide which reporters cover events with the president.

A good cautionary read. Over the years, I know many brilliant Indigenous people who have gone through this awful and frustrating experience. Look into it carefully if you are approached to be on an “Advisory Council.” Is it tokenism or is the organisation serious? apple.news/AnpFFHbuiTL-...

I am so glad I caught Prison Playbook before it leaves Netflix. It’s wonderful and touching, a great blend of humour and emotion. The only flaw is the relationship, there really wasn’t any chemistry, but since that wasn’t the focus of the show it didn’t take away too much

Le poids du Québec va continuer à dégringoler d'ici 2049. Alors que les Québécois représentaient 28% des Canadiens en 1971, ils ne seront plus que 19,8% en 2049.

Just started watching Prison Playbook, wanted to catch it before it leaves Netflix. It’s slowly growing on me but 16 ninety minutes episodes is a lot #kdrama

Doubling the joy today! I'm thrilled that my local friend Danella Olsen joined me to dance together beside majestic, frozen Fish Lake in the Yukon wilderness at -20°C. When joy is multiplied through connection in nature's embrace, it creates a positive ripple effect. Happy Holidays! 🎄 Gurdeep.org

This is wild. I have no opinion about Blake Lively and don't follow celebrity gossip accounts, but a few months ago I started being served posts trashing her. Apparently it was part of a ghoulish op to discredit her after she made a sexual harassment complaint. www.nytimes.com/2024/12/21/b...

While waiting for the new season of Slow Horses, I started reading the books. They’re delightful and one of the rare instances where I love book and TV adaptation equally

I was pleased to see ‘People Of The Watershed’ included in “The 10 best things about visual arts in 2024” in The Globe and Mail. Here are the northern Ontario tour dates (2024-2026), so far, for ‘People of the Watershed: Photographs of John Macfie.’ (note: due to the size of the exhibit,…
