Whenever I see Dems claim they are out of power, there’s nothing they can do, I think of Brad Lander and how he escorted people to court while being comptroller and running for mayor. Do something or get the f out of the way so there can be more Brad Landers.

There is quite a bit of research and data that shows high temperatures increase aggression. Cops are much more likely to fire their guns when the temperature is higher, for example. There are a million little downstream effects of climate change.

Shooting from the hip but as a former Nutmegger I'd wager the window AC prevalence in New England is largely a combination of 1) OLD housing stock that is difficult/expensive to renovate; 2) 1 is compounded by historical temperatures being tolerable except for a *few* days a year.
