Caterpillars are squishy & slow, making them an easy snack for many predators. To protect themselves, some species have evolved venoms, others camouflage themselves as plants or bird poop. But Lycaenid caterpillars have an even cooler strategy IMHO - they employ ants for protection. (1/n) 🧪
