I don't think there are many ethical uses for AI, but one may be realistic fake torture victims that scream at the press of a button. We find people who enjoy pressing the button, sequester them from society, maybe have them fight over who presses the button. The rest of us get on with our lives.

The hype over LLMs (aka "AI") reminds me of a film scene I saw nearly thirty years ago. It's from Ridicule (1996), a French movie about wits jostling for favour in the court of Louis XVI. (I recommend it, it's a very entertaining film)
