A lot of educated leftists (myself included) fail to fully grapple with the fact that having a bougie and academically precise vocabulary to describe our social, political, and economic problems isn't really a strength when it comes to messaging and organizing IRL.

Folks who point out that Pride is a “deadly sin” make me feel so tired. 1.) Anyone avoiding the “deadly sin” of pride would be unlikely to make this assertion out of their own humility (the opposite of the pride involved). 2.) Queer Pride is about not being ashamed (having basic self-worth).
