The old theory was contrails were a government conspiracy to control the weather. The new theory is contrails are our military’s means of blocking spying by foreign powers. Somehow aluminum in contrails blocks secret signals to and from our enemies.

I just finished reading a book in which the primary character is found innocent, in part, because the real villain drowned an elderly dog. There were also a dozen human victims but it was the dog that hit home. It seems that even our fiction has a strange sense of justice.

I deleted my Threads account today. I’m removing anything Meta from my life. After I inform those who matter and save some of my past history, I’ll remove Facebook. I’ve been on FB for years and it’s my only contact with many of my friends. I’ll have to find another way talk to them.
