Basketball is fun as hell

Stood behind Drew Gooden in a buffet line at the Rio. He had on an insanely bejeweled tennis bracelet.

I've always left and liberal interchangeably to describe myself and it annoyed me when some aggro internet dweebs gave them specific meanings and decided one was a pejorative. There's so many people whose ideology is solidly leftist who call themselves liberal because they're not terminally online

The one time I road BART when it made its stop at the Oakland Coliseum the door opened, a kid hopped in, dropped a perfect Too Short "beeeeiiiiiitch", and got right back off. I have always assume he was an appointed civic official.

Continue to believe that if you can get a gig with The Atlantic you probably can find work someplace that doesn’t embarrass you by publishing this fucking doorknob.

I do not want to know anything about the House Settlement. Players should get paid, so that’s good- but all this shit feels bad and between that and what’s happened to WSU I’m finding myself avoiding CFB news in ways I’d never have expected.

Like not only is this post incredibly stupid and demonstrates why Murphy and his ilk lack the skills and conviction to lead- it's a damningly awful summary of what actually happened yesterday

A thing I would do if I ran a website is not lay off one of the absolutely most talented people I'd ever employed. Which is weird because websites keep doing that.

I can already folks are being very normal and in no way betraying their latent bigotry towards women of color in response to this. Raise every eyebrow possible at this, but don't do it from under a white sheet.

IMO understanding why it was time for Thibs to go is a pretty key indicator of advanced ball knowing.

I'm all for leveraging these people to make the country a safer, better place- but even if they specifically don't support disgusting elements of Trumpism- you'll never convince me that a minimum they didn't knowingly, or with inexcusable ignorance, vote for an absolute bigot.

Last year’s was the one I’d eat because I was so hungry for a game. It was also flawed enough they’re not getting more of my money until it actually tastes good.

A 21 year old me was very taken with Salon era Tapper and excited when he moved on to bigger things cause he was Good and Smart. I’m now totally unsure if I was just young and credulous or if he’s heel turned as bad as it seems for book sales. It’s just kinda sad and pathetic.

I will reliably fall into pieces when Charlie Sheen walks out of the bullpen at the end of Major League 2.

Obviously this is gross but a minor point: generally student conduct offices will hold the diploma of any graduating senior with a pending conduct matter, smoking weed in the dorms, cheating, etc. It’s the only leverage they have to make somebody who doesn’t even go there to engage with them.

People being incredibly fucking weird about who is dating who are wondering why people might be hesitant about talking about who they're dating.

OK this means there's a microscopically slim chance the new Pope has read something my grandfather has published. Which is cool.

So it was basically "we gotta pick a guy who can talk to this asshole, right?"

Thus mastering a skillset nobody in the real world needs ever and that present a number of accessibility issues. The solution isn't different types of tests, it's not having tests and engaging in conversation where people can demonstrate they've learned something.

The last time the awful atheist crowd aggressively didn't get a joke jesus post from the EDSBSsphere I blocked them all, and can see none of the bad responses to Norm, which tells me it's all the same damn people lurker the discover tab eager to sound like 23 year old me.

One of the things that's really unfortunate about Tech Bros is that they end up tainting emergent technology that could have a really positive impact on disabled folks both because it gets created by unethical means and because they argue for all the worst use-cases.

I'm not an AI evangelist by any means, but it's verging on bad faith to compare ChatGPT to the horrible google AI summaries. The reasons ChatGPT is better are all increasingly problematic, but it is a lot better than the below.

This is just my weird little bent- and it's a massive bummer Polygon is being burnt down and lot of talented people are losing their jobs- but to see people lamenting the loss of a it as gaming site when it hasn't been positioned as one of those in a long time feels curious.

This pretty much. I appreciate them doing what they feel is right and that’s the most important thing, but I think the argument below is unreasonable and I’d personally be uncomfortable following BDS’s every suggestion if that’s the thought process and bombast they’re employing.

The Trump admin keeps losing in court and is backing down when they do. They'll lose on this one too. I really wish people would stop being so defeatist and cynical, even in jest.

So my girlfriend has been using Chat GPT in a variety of ways to combat executive disfunction and it's been helpful so long as she imposes a lot of human intervention and quality control. She'd be an exponentially better evangelist for AI than any of these overzealous weirdos.

Not sure if this is just a super car commuter line of thinking or if "other people on the bus" don't count as strangers- because for years in Seattle I had like 50-60 people like this.
