been working on this for a little too long, finally gone and done it kernel choice was to go onto an SLTS version lmao slackware is basically the only i586 distro left now that alpine yeeted that a couple months ago (k6-2+ not k6-iii, very similar but not the same)

trying to get a modern kernel onto this old cobalt raq 4 (it has a k6-2+ 450MHz), but it doesn’t have a standard bios and can only chain load through an old kernel in flash that limits you to 2MB for your kernel ….it’s surprisingly difficult lmao
