The art deco facade of the former Ainslie Park High School (and subsequently the north campus of Telford College). This seems to be all that remains, the rest of the site has been demolished and is now housing.

Hideously expensive pastries (or viennoiseries if we’re being posh) at Patina in Edinburgh Park this morning. I’ll forgive them the price though, they are SO good. 😋

This fine set of shoes on Henderson Row isn’t included in my collection of abandoned shoe photos.

Lovely to see this new deck / walkway at Cramond… but is it not a bit of a #AccessibilityFail? Like why are there steps if meant to allow more access for all abilities? 🙄 Seems to be shorter than the drawing on here. www.elgt.org.uk/projects/gre...

1st pic is looking down the River Almond from Cramond Brig this morning. The 2nd is from the less well known Grotto Bridge about half a mile upstream from there. 3rd one is the bridge itself.

What is it with abandoned shoes? A few times I’ve posted pictures of single shoes 👟that I’ve spotted around Edinburgh. However, yesterday at the bus stop at Redbraes Park on Broughton Road, was the first time I’ve found a pair of ownerless shoes. 👟 👟

Cannons in the housing estate off North Fort Street in Leith. They’re well prepared to repel an invasion by the denizens of Trinity. 😀

We took a trip out to Malleny Garden at Balerno today where I was trying out some macro photography.

Tufted duck (I think) in Inverleith Pond earlier.

This house in Oban seems appropriate for a Sunday. The bay windows look like a Bishop’s Mitre.

The end of the line for the North British Railway, formerly the Edinburgh Leith and Granton Railway (I think), near the weir on the Water of Leith at Powderhall.

Some photos from my walk from Broughton down to Leith and back again.

Cygnet at the pond in Inverleith Park.

We took a trip out to Inchcolm today. No escape from seeing the Golden Turd though. Not sure about those garden gnomes. 🤔

In the ancient wall of my local petrol station is inscribed "The Baxters Land 1686". They were bakers based in the Canongate and had to grind their corn at Canonmills #Edinburgh

Church mice in St John’s Kirk, Perth. Or should that be Kirk Mice?

Walked up Corstorphine Hill today in gorgeous weather.

Pope Monkfish Tikka IV

I’m old enough to remember (and be on the receiving end) of one of these.
