Trump is likely the greatest charlatan in American history so you sometimes forget that he's also a giant mark

ICYMI - Research has shown that alfalfa and other cattle-feed crops consume 46% of the water that is diverted from the Colorado River www.latimes.com/environment/...

Good news!! They have extended the public comment period until June 7th! So you still have time to submit!! The proposed rule could have huge negative impacts for the federal government, particularly the more technical agencies.

Nebraska Rep. Mike Flood was booed relentlessly at his own town hall as he admitted to a roomful of constituents he'd simply not read some parts of Trump’s big, beautiful budget bill. “You voted for all of it!” someone shouted. https://trib.al/vNIZNRX

Indivisible Nebraska Lincoln has a new website and newsletter (indivisiblenebraskalincoln.com)! Since our domain is new, lots of the stuff we send out goes to people’s junk mail (how dare they put us in junk! 😂😉), so here is the current newsletter. We are safe senders, I promise!

Delicious, this gold and white peony, like a wedding banquet set out for the queen of the bees.

It's easy for me to forget that Democrats in Lincoln are actually outnumbered by Republicans. Our yard signs outnumber theirs in the more central neighborhoods that I move through the most, and the results at the polls favor us thanks to the types of well-done campaigning outlined here:

Today a young coworker asked me if a misconception was true and when I said "no" he said "Huh, I guess that was just a cowboy rumor!" I loved that so much I asked him if I could steal it and he said it was okay. Such an improvement on "old wives' tale." I adore today's young people 🥺.

Great thread!

Got both sides of my protest sign done! In #LNK we will be gathering at the NE state capital building from 3-6 pm today.

I hope it's okay to jump on and post an extensive quote from Nick Carr's The Shallows. It was just really important to my own understanding, so I wanted to share: "Those who celebrate the 'outsourcing' of memory to the Web have been misled by a metaphor. They overlook the fundamentally organic (1/?)

Glad to have made it out to Wilderness Park just in time to see & smell the wild plum blossoms and assorted other springtime delights #LNK #WildPlumBlossoms

The Trump admin has just detained Mohsen Mahdawi, who: –has green card –was Columbia Buddhist club president –saw his best friend shot & killed by Israeli soldier –said "we are against antisemitism because antisemitism is a form of injustice, and injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"

Step 1: Don’t doom on the timeline. Step 2: Don’t doom at all. Step 3: Do things. Small things count. Step 4: Repeat forever. This is both exhausting and liberating.

Popeye sits in urgent care with a 4 hour erection and mindlessly opens another can of spinach. Olive Oyl slaps it out of his hand.

Of course a vegan can talk for a whole day...

This one is wild. The overloaded angel (big smile, crown, rainbo wings, rock crystal rod) and the plainest Mary I've seen in a long time with a gilt target line where the holy spirit dove is going to hit her right on top of her head. Oh those windows in the bkgrd.

Looks like the Siberian squill in Manor Lodge Pocket Park made it through yesterday's snowstorm

All the time I've frittered away on the internet looking at cool stuff, and I had to learn about these vintage bicycle ads from an audiobook?! (Two Wheels Good by Jody Rosen)
