Bucket fits three kids or one adventurous adult. Ride featured just one “that was close” which I count as a win

Always carry spare bungee cords because you never know when your coworker will be giving away a free bluey playhouse that your (almost) 4 year old will love.

Is it gauche to leave my Tour de Nash number on my bike for the week?

Kind of rude of @chess.com to send this push message to moms…

This graphic is pretty powerful www.homelight.com/blog/buyer-h...

Spent time at the DHS/ICE detention facility today. ICE ran a dragnet last night and took ~100 people in random traffic stops. Families were not allowed to talk with their loved ones. Lawyers were not allowed in. This is not just and does not make our community any safer. Bring them home.

Hey! Read a thing I did with WBN! www.walkbikenashville.org/50001/ninth_...

Scenes from no mow month

@freddieoconnell.bsky.social @metronashplan.bsky.social If LA, car capital of the world, can remake Hollywood Blvd into a complete street for all modes of transportation and creates a vibrant public space, we can do it from the get go on the East Bank. www.gensler.com/blog/the-mos...

Imagine if this was East Bank Blvd.

Hub Nashville request for a vehicle in the bike lane was closed today. Vehicle gone on arrival. Seeing as I submitted the request EIGHT DAYS AGO that’s not surprising

In Nashville if you want safe infrastructure for walking & biking, you fill out a bunch of surveys, attend dozens of meetings, & wait 5-10 years. If you want car infrastructure & you're wealthy & connected you just send a couple emails. Metro will immediately bow down to your wishes.

You can now take this survey on potential bike lanes in midtown and West End Park. This includes Long Blvd at that Titos you found @neilkornutick.bsky.social ! Please get the word out and take the survey. Based on the response to 31st, there could be opposition. www.nashville.gov/departments/...

Also these giant trucks and SUVs barely fit in parking spaces! They make it difficult for me to open my car doors and get my kids out of their car seats when I have to park next to one. They stick into the driving space and make parking lots harder to maneuver and less safe in terms of visibility 😡

"Severance" but it's about how people become totally different individuals behind the wheel of a car.

And a reminder that even if they were members of any gang, anywhere, & even if we knew for a fact that as members of a gang they'd committed horrible crimes, this act would have still been both illegal and unconscionably cruel.

Used @5calls.org during my lunch break to let my (deeply red) reps know that they should be doing everything they can to oppose the staffing reductions and dismantling of the DOE. I’m sure my call won’t do anything but it’s better than nothing I guess? @5calls.org is so easy to use - give it a try!

This is just a tiny, tiny example of why it is smart to have a diverse and inclusive work force that you treat equitably...

I love biking to work. Monday I picked up 4 gallons of oat milk on my e-bike on my way home. Tuesday I stopped by the library with my e-bike to pick up some books on hold. Today I saw a blue heron in the creek on my way to work. I didn’t have to sit in traffic at all or worry about finding parking.

Is it inefficient to design a bridge to hold more weight than it's rated for? Is it inefficient to design your plumbing to withstand unexpected abuses? People who insist that government be maximally "efficient" do not appreciate why we have government at all

This was never a good idea to begin with, but even worse in light of our current state and federal governments. Reach out to your council member and let them know that you oppose any bill that helps bring FUSUS forward. This Tues at 6:30 is the vote on the “guardrails,” not the full bill.
