people are getting disappeared, innocent men sent to foreign gulags, the civil service hollowed out, thousands left to die without foreign aid, and schumer is saber rattling about iran. these people make me fucking sick.

The answer is, I think, obviously yes based on his 2012-2019 numbers, but this long tail decline may cost him some votes depending upon the make up of the electorate when he's on the ballot.

It’s a routine act of media cowardice to attribute facts to “critics” or “Democrats” instead of just stating them as true. This Politico story shows how GOP Medicaid cuts go far beyond “waste, fraud and abuse,” yet the sentence starts “Democrats have argued …” www.politico.com/live-updates...

what the fuck is happening here

Which image consultants have decided this is a strong visual for presenting a message against Trump?

Crowning achievement for the early 1990s expansion effort that it's 2025, and the Rockies and Marlins are a combined 32-84. Someone is going to have win tonight's game.

I think it's very bad that at what is probably the most dangerous time for American Jews in at least a century, our most prominent spokespeople are obsessed with (a) providing PR to a foreign apartheid state and (b) completely myopic about anything beyond the bounds of their own ivory towers

there is really no way to interpret this other than as the ADL demanding that critics of Israel be subject to extradjudicial detention

Maybe if the stores didn't start putting the decorations up for hurricane season SO EARLY everyone would know the dates

“Boycott collusion” isn’t a crime.

Why are all of these words in the same headline in that order? We live in hell.

Farewell to the 2024-2025 Knicks. “I’m quite sure that I’ve never rooted so desperately, with such an uneasy blend of pleasure and pain, delight and despair, for such a confusing team,” Vinson Cunningham writes.

Trump promised mass deportation. Trump is trying to deliver mass deportation. Folks who want you to believe they didn't vote for this when they pulled the lever for Trump need to be asked what they're willing to do to stop it.

The initial Times write up mentions none of these shocking details. I assume they’re working to verify these claims.

We need to destigmatize using photos of other places in district-specific election literature. Sometimes you want to show people something cool that doesn't exist in your district (yet)!

The fact that no daily newspaper is covering this as an ongoing anti-democratic coup is stunning to me. bsky.app/profile/mmas...

A big reason why I don't want to hear any sob stories from Trump voters is the news is not going to have a damn thing to say about anyone who is affected by this

ICE raids Poconos pizza shop. "It's really hard to fathom that the guy making my pizza for 25 years is a gangster and a terrorist, and the person who shows up in an unmarked car wearing a mask and body armor comes to take him away is somehow the good guy." www.wnep.com/article/news...

If you want to know what a prehistoric insect stuck in amber was like just before it died, here’s Hakeem Jeffries to demonstrate.

If you think of Andor has 4 3-hour movies, I guess I can see how they got to a $650 million production budget, but even still, it's a lot of close shots in tight spaces and very dialogue heavy rather than pew pew space laser special effects. That's a ton of money.

The Washington Examiner (the conservative news outlet) reports that Stephen Miller screamed at ICE officials: "What do you mean you're going after criminals? Why aren't you at Home Depot? Why aren't you at 7-Eleven?" Kinda blows up the narrative that they care about public safety.

Regrettably doing some cross-posting to Vichy Twitter on the subway account since the mayoral election is so soon. I'm not looking at replies or really engaging there. It's just to use it as a megaphone, and I feel really gross about it.

The Andrew Cuomo that lives in these people’s heads has no relation to the actual Andrew Cuomo who was governor for 10 years. bsky.app/profile/mars...

I, for one, am excited to find out if personal possession of a rocket launcher or an ICBM or a suitcase nuke is protected by the 2nd Amendment.

I've been thinking about this since last night, and if I were in the House Democratic caucus, I'd be screaming my head off today for new leadership. It's the 3-blink pause after Dana Bash (!!) asks "What does that mean?" in response to incomprehensible word vomit from Jeffries that really gets me.
