I prefer to post about food, raising my son and this adventure we call life. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to post about today’s politics.

The TACO is a great moniker. My only problem with it is that I really like tacos and have no desire to think about that nasty douche while eating.

Is targeting a specific company with tariffs legal? It seems like overreach to me. An industry maybe, but one company?

Can someone please explain to the Oompah Loompa in Charge what brain drain is and what the long term effects this will have on a services based economy

Let’s expand on the “pot boiling over” analogy. The pots our government, the flame is this administration, the smoke detector is the “woke” population and the dumbasses that are ignoring it thinking it’s a false alarm are about to get burnt indiscriminately along with the rest of us.

"There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people." - Commander William Adama, Battlestar Galactica

Our trade deal so far is no tariffs on Rolls Royces and Bentleys and our refugee policy is white South Africans only.

Looking for palate cleanse fiction book outside of Sci Fi/ Fantasy. Anyone have any recommendations?

Discussing politics with conservatives today reminds me of the saying, “you can lead a horse to water, but it’s surprisingly difficult to drown it.”

Another fat guy post: Soowon Galbi in Korea Town LA is my go to spot for Korean BBQ. It never disappoints. Parking is valet and I suggest going early to avoid a long wait but it’s been there for awhile and there’s a legit reason for that

Another fat guy post: Tilamook makes a white chocolate/rasberry ice cream that is sort of decadent. Definitely worth a try if you’re into that. I am.

Another post from a fat guy: Azuma in Gardena has really good bento boxes. The Tempura is fire.

Looking forward to the day when I can wake up and watch the news and not get a knot in my stomach.

The two types of people that I can’t stand are bullies and grifters and we got a twofer this election…again. SMH

Mental note to self: there is absolutely no point trying to change Trump supporters minds. For my own peace of mind, they need to find out on their own. FAFO

I just passed a Ford dealership. They had an incredible number of Tesla trade-ins parked out front.

And the dumpster fire continues to burn.

Another food post from a fat guy: If you like Hawaiian, Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop is really solid. The Garlic Chicken and the Hawaiian Royal are my go to recommendations. Good people, good food.

Another post from a fat guy: Tacos Los Cholos in Huntington Park has hands down the best tortas I have ever had.

One frustrating aspect of DOGE is there is no alternative being proposed. It’s just we’re going to blow this up and leave rubble. People are naturally going to be angry and afraid. And there’s a strong possibility that they have no solutions only callous removal. In which case f them.

You know what sounds like a great idea…crash the economy so retiree’s 401k’s tank while simultaneously going after social security and cutting Medicare. FAFO. WT actual F??? Not to mention betraying our allies and cutting critical humanitarian programs. He’s a POS.

These next couple of years are going to suck.

Casa Bianca in Eaglerock has the best pizza in LA IMO. If you dine in, plan to wait for a table; no reservations. It’s that good though.

So…with climate change denial added to vocal criticism of FEMA plus the real chance of civil unrest, I’ve reevaluated prepping. I’m not stock piling resources, but I am getting some basic things. Not to be alarmist, but it’s better to have something and not need it than need it and not have it.

Another fat guy post: Daukokuya is my favorite ramen spot in LA. When possible go to the one on 1st in Little Tokyo. You will probably need to be on a wait list, but definitely worth it. Thank me later.
