I’ve been on a big Primus kick lately. I think these guys are one of the most consistently interesting rock bands of the last 40 years and are still putting out bangers. I saw them play "Conspiranoia” live last year and really dug the Pink Floyd vibe and biting lyrics.

Revisited Batman: Face The Face last night- Sort of a messy, uneven arc that seems like its main objective was to reset the status quo after Infinite Crisis and act as a placeholder before Grant Morrison took over the series. But there are some strong moments and solid art scattered in there.

Still think it’s wild how well DC pulled this one off- It shouldn’t be surprising considering the writers and Keith Giffen’s choice layouts, but the fact that they not only got this weekly series out but also gave us (IMHO) one of the best DC series of the 2000’s is just incredible.

My brother Nick is a behavioral disease ecologist who studies animal/parasite interactions and "zombie fungus.” He just made a video with the Emerging Pathogens Institute exploring the science behind The Last of Us. Nick’s also a massive horror fan so it’s great seeing his two passions intersect.

In the broadest analogy, this series sort of feels like the Black Mirror of comics. But instead of technology and sci-fi tropes, Monkey Meat tackles comics culture, corporate IP, and entertainment conglomerates. And it’s boasts some of the most dynamic artwork I’ve seen in years. So good.
