Couple more thoughts on the #NJDevils  clinching: The playoffs are a culmination of the full body of work over 82 games. The Devils played well enough early in the year to absorb the bumpiness of the last couple of months.

The back-to-back in December between these two teams was nasty. Two clubs that don’t like each other. This series could have some serious snarl.

Devils-Canes is the first playoff matchup to be locked in. The teams split the season series with the Devils winning twice in New Jersey and Carolina winning twice in Raleigh.
