I'm not saying Bend It Like Beckham should have been gay. That's not really the movie's point. Just... I dunno, it feels a little like something obvious is missing. Something like gay, maybe.

You do not ever have to hand it to Newsom. He’s just opportunistically using the situation in LA to position himself as anti-Trump while meanwhile supporting anti trans and anti-immigrant (among many other) viewpoints. He just wants to be President - he doesn’t stand for anything.
