The intentional death by starvation, of babies. A slow and cruel death.

The St. Gall Priscian Glosses written in Co Down in 845AD is returning to Ireland. It has over 3000 notes in Old Irish making it the main source of our knowledge of the language

Listening to the excellent @philipb-h.bsky.social podcast Hot Mess and am reminded of the true meaning of the acronym AI for most in the Irish countryside. 😂

Getting Away With It (All Messed Up) by James on the speakers. I love this song, a great vocal performance and I love the guitars.

Thirty years ago today, to slightly adapt Taylor Parkes, David McAlmont opened his mouth and a cathedral fell out. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jyrn...

Yesterday evening a swallow hit a window hard, we gave it water but it didn't fly away. Moved it into a safe spot in a raised bed with water and food and kept watch. Not visibly injured just stunned. This morning it's gone so I hope it's ok.

Every year wagtails nest at my parents house. My dad has closed off the stick house because they're in there this year. He's very pleased to see five chicks.

Nobody in Ireland is noticing but solar is here and will only get better.

Wearing my Arden trousers and Moss jacket today. Both patterns from Helen's Closet made in a light patterned denim fabric. Really pleased with this combo. #GarmentSewing #MeMadeMay

"A timelessness that is all too often hard to repeat" Brilliant piece marking the 30th(!) anniversary of one of the greatest singles of all time, over on @thequietus.com thequietus.com/opinion-and-...

A lovely day today at lunch celebrating my aunt and godmothers 70th birthday. All seven sisters were there.

I've got my conspiracy board out again, desperately trying to find a link between "Irish young people are very unhappy" and "plans for playground cancelled due to fears they will attract anti-social behaviour"

Whom amongst us

The inventor of the toothbrush used to live in my block, but almost noone knows this because there's no plaque.

So that’s 2 million plus people being knowingly starved, while being “displaced” from ruin to ruin under bombardment. 57 kids dead from malnutrition already.

Haven't painted in ages so obviously I've decided to do an acrylic painting for my aunt's birthday. No pressure like.

It's seriously concerning that it is taking the killing of a Garda for a serious reconsideration of road safety in Ireland The deaths of so many children weren't enough? www.rte.ie/news/ireland...

I’ve only got two more blocks left in the crochet blanket I’m making. I’ll be joining them soon I hope! The border is large so it will take a little longer to finish.

My garden is getting a much needed watering this morning and the waterbutt will get a top up. On days like today I like the rain.

Amidst all this talk of online harms and parenting around the algorithm, too few are willing to discuss a much more pressing and pernicious problem: My YouTube feed's been destroyed by my six year old son's obsession with chess videos. observer.co.uk/news/columni...

I have to print my own car insurance disk, it is proving impossible.

Ireland powered through to the final of the 4x400m mixed relay at the World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China. And as a result, it takes the team into the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo later this year
