If you haven't read "How the South Won the Civil War" by Heather Cox Richardson (@hcrichardson.bsky.social‬), I highly recommend it. Professor Richardson describes how the racism and oligarchy of the antebellum South reflects our current threatened democracy. It helps you understand Trump's actions.

Any man who utters the term "trophy wife" should never be trusted. Women are largely responsible for the success and survival of the human race and have been some of the world's most successful leaders (other than in the US). Only abusive men who can't relate to women think of them as trophies.
